Wisconsin 10-year-old Lily Peters was sexually assaulted after her strangling death at the hands of a boy four years her senior earlier this week, prosecutors revealed in a harrowing bond hearing Wednesday afternoon.

The 14-year-old suspect has been charged as an adult, prosecutors told Fox News Digital.

Judge Benjamin Lane agreed to prosecutors' request to set bond at $1 million and ordered the defendant to avoid contact with minors, except his siblings, so long as such contact is supervised.

Prosecutors identified the suspect through his initials and only as a 14-year-old boy and alleged that the eighth-grader admitted to physically assaulting the child before strangling her to death and then sexually assaulting her.

"Protection of [the] community also is necessary in this case given his statements regarding his intentions and his statements regarding that when he did get off the trail, he punched the victim in the stomach, knocked her to the ground, essentially strangled her, hit her with a stick, before strangling her to the point of death -- before he then sexually assaulted her," Chippewa County District Attorney Wade Newell told the judge at the bond hearing.

Attorneys for the teen suspect requested $100,000 cash bond, arguing he is not a flight risk due to him being too young to drive.

The suspect was being held in a juvenile detention facility and appeared in court remotely.

Speaking to reporters after the hearing, Newell said the charges against the teen suspect were first-degree intentional homicide, first-degree sexual assault and first-degree sexual assault with a child under age 13 resulting in great bodily harm.

In Wisconsin, homicide defendants above the age of 10 years old can be tried in adult court, but the DA said it was "premature" to say whether that would be the case in this situation.

Reddit sleuths may have led police to teen suspect in Lily Peter’s murder

The 14-year-old boy charged with sexually assaulting and killing 10-year-old Wisconsin girl Lily Peters may have been busted after a flurry of tips about an online post from a possible key witness, according to reports.

On Tuesday — a day before the unidentified teen was arrested — an anonymous poster wrote about a possible sighting of little Lily with “another kid” and fears that “another kid did it.”

“What’s scary is I was playing Pokemon Go in the park that day walking along that very same trial [sic],” the verified Reddit user wrote in a post later removed by moderators.

“My stomach turns when I think that I saw that girl in a pink/purple hoodie on her bike with another kid on my way out. I have a suspicion that it could be another kid that did it.”

Sadly I see this dangerous 14 year old getting off without any penalty whatsoever when his attorney paints him as a poor child abused by his pedophile father. If I was the girls father and the courts set this monster free, I would disappear him after some very careful planning that is. I know, Paul in Romans 12:19, but I would rather seek forgiveness later than allow this monster a chance to strike again.

I would be shocked if he were charged with a Capital Crime. I can already hear the cries of outrage over "the state trying to murder a 14  year old child."

Please note that "shocked" is not the same thing as "disappointed" It would be good riddance to bad trash,and MIGHT even wake up a few teens as to the eventual reality of a life of violent crime.

AND......,how do you know he won't get assigned to a prison like Club Max,where the  prisoners live in small cells maybe 8x10  by themselves,the lights are NEVER turned off,and the ceilings are heavy glass that are patrolled by guards 24/7. IIRC,they have no tv and I am not even sure they are allowed radios. They are only allowed out of their cells for 1 hour a day to walk in the prison yard and get a little sun. The ONLY visitors they are allowed is from lawyers,and since most are there with no appeals left,that means the ONLY humans they come into contact with are the armed guards,who won't speak to them other than to give orders.

Think about that one for a moment and tell me which sentence YOU would rather have.

This is some SERIOUS punishment,and it would seem like it was going on forever.

Although,to be truthful,after a year or two of that,I suspect that IF they are even capable of thought,EVERY day seems like forever.

If I could be certain that he was going to Club Max, I might agree, but I guarantee you child killers/ rapist are at the bottom of the food chain in prison. He would be seriously F^&Ked up before he is killed.
