Weakness begets others taking advantage of that weakness. That lesson, one learned by any kid who’s had to deal with a bully, should have been on the minds of those behind the disastrous, shameful withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Running from the Taliban with our tail tucked between our legs was an obviously terrible decision that displayed American weakness to anyone watching. Rather than American might and valor on display, those watching us fail to even cow a rebel militia must have gotten a sense of American incompetence, fecklessness, and the cowardice of our leaders.

In fact, many suspect that it was witnessing that shameful retreat that caused Putin to invade the Ukraine; having seen how poorly we managed to deal with the Taliban, a mere tribal rabble compared to the Russian Federation’s forces, how could he not think he could take advantage of Slow Joe and the nation he’s supposedly leading?

Instead of weakness, substitute "wokeness."

Or weakness (downgrading the military), begets others taking advantage of that (downgrading the military).  Either way, he is leading the military to destrucation.
