Second COVID booster shot boosts infection protection for just a few weeks: study
By Joseph Wilkinson

It was a minor boost.

A fourth shot of the Pfizer COVID vaccine increased protection against viral infection for only four to seven weeks, according to a massive study published Tuesday.

The study included 1.25 million people age 60 and over in Israel who received their fourth dose between January and March. Israel only uses the Pfizer vaccine.

People who got the fourth dose were half as likely to test positive for COVID four weeks later when compared to people who only had three doses, according to the study.

But by the eighth week, the groups were almost equally likely to catch COVID, researchers found.

The fourth shot was the subject of much debate before U.S. regulators approved it last week for people age 50 and older. The second booster had already been approved for immunocompromised people. President Biden, 79, got his on March 30.

While increased protection against infection was short-lived, the fourth booster continued to protect against severe illness for at least six weeks, the study found. The research period actually ended before the protection did, leading researchers to suggest future studies.

The study only compared people with the fourth dose to people with a third dose. Previous research had suggested that the third dose provided a significant bump in infection protection over zero, one or two doses.

Only about 30% of the U.S. population, 98 million people, has received a third dose, according to Centers for Disease Control data.

US likely to see a surge of Covid-19 in the fall, Fauci says

By Naomi Thomas, CNN

Updated 1:04 PM ET, Thu April 7, 2022

(CNN)Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said on Wednesday that he thinks there will be an uptick in cases of Covid-19 over the next few weeks, and that it is likely that there could be a surge in the fall.
"I think we should expect, David, that over the next couple of weeks, we are going to see an uptick in cases -- and hopefully there is enough background immunity so that we don't wind up with a lot of hospitalizations," Fauci said, when asked by Bloomberg TV's David Westin about the prospect of another wave of Covid-19 from BA.2 or another variant, given the level of immunity believed to exist in the US today.
Fauci reiterated that the US often follows other countries -- offering the UK, which also has the BA.2 variant -- as an example. He said that as well as having a pullback on many mask mandates and restrictions for indoor settings, there has also been a waning of immunity.

"Those conditions are also present in the United States," he said. "So, I would not be surprised if we see an uptick in cases. Whether that uptick becomes a surge where there are a lot more cases is difficult to predict."

Asked later in the interview whether it should be expected that this fall will look like the past two -- and if people should be bracing for something around October -- Fauci said that he thinks "it is likely that we will see a surge in the fall."

What did I say..just in time for the elections!

A surge in the Fall, just like with every other version of “the flu”.  God this man is irritating.

Vaccines =Epic Fail
Romans 12:16-21

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Rather: It is not a vaccine.

Here is another one of those lost news stories that seem to be ignored due to other news.....

Entirely ignored...

According to JH Site last week there were 27,416 COVID deaths world wide. That is the lowest number of deaths in a week since the week of March 29, 2020.  The beginning of the pandemic.

Of addional note, those 27K deaths are aligned with 9.71M cases. That now is less than a 0.3% mortality rate.  We are in flu territory now.
Time to close the book, and treat this like flu from now on.

Of those 27K deaths how many were actually of other causes but the person tested positive for Covid at the time? I don't believe anything we have been told about Covid deaths, period!

Very true, but this miniscule number damns the narrative further without even trying. COVID as a crisis is dead for now.  Stop the mask and vax mandates NOW!!!

We Cannot ‘Boost Our Way Out’ Of The Covid Pandemic, Experts Warn
Robert Hart, Forbes Staff
Apr 4, 2022,05:16am EDT

U.S. officials greenlit second booster doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna Covid vaccines last week in an effort to bolster waning immunity ahead of a potential surge of cases driven by the infectious BA.2 omicron subvariant, but experts question whether everyone even needs a fourth shot or if regular boosting is a sustainable strategy to manage the coronavirus long-term.   ...

While a fourth dose appears to be beneficial at preventing serious illness in older or high-risk people, Dr. Amesh Adalja, a senior scholar at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, told Forbes that repeated boosting is not “a viable strategy” and it’s not clear that younger groups without high-risk health conditions “benefit much from even third doses.”  ... Quote from the article:
Quote
Data now suggests that the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, originally considered the least effective of those available in the U.S., is now preventing infections and serious illness as well as, if not better than, Moderna and Pfizer shots.
Yet that was the one the FDA and CDC discouraged because they insisted mRNA was better.
