The fires are so bad today in #Texas. Notice the cowboy in this picture trying to round up the cattle ahead of the fire. An entire little town was wiped out today, Carbon, Texas. This area is about 120 miles west of Dallas/Fort Worth.

I see pretty much of the state is going to expect wind gusts of 40-50 mph for the next few days.

Our mets are alerting us to a potential tornado outbreak in our little neck of the East Texas PIney Woods down to the coast.

I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

I talked to my sister this afternoon in west Texas. She called to tell me that she hates me because we are getting rain. The wind is still horrible and it is extremely dry there.

Like you, I am east Tx...not Piney Woods, but on the edge. Hopefully we won't get the severe weather...just a long soak would be good. Stay safe.

That tornado barely missed my farm.  An going down tomorrow to rescue the food in fridge and freezer as power is out and may be a number of days until it comes back on.

Here's drone footage I found over Crockett.  <iframe width="640" height="360" style="border:1px solid #e6e6e6" src="https://www.khou.com/embeds/video/285-775795e1-03ae-4e15-9c97-e30a7e3250e8/iframe" allowfullscreen="true" webkitallowfullscreen="true" mozallowfullscreen="true"></iframe>
