ISIS Leader Dies By Suicide During US Raid, Kills Several Others Including Children; Biden Says Mission Was A “Success”
Biden said this sends a "strong message to terrorists around the world."

SYRIA – In an operation that has been in the works since early December, Joe Biden has claimed a victory in the killing of an Islamic State leader during a US raid in Syria this week. Current reports, however, say that the terrorist killed himself, as well as his family members and several other civilians.

Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi, also known as Haji Abdullah, has been the top leader of the group since October 31, 2019. At Biden’s direction, US troops raided the apartment complex where he was believed to be in hiding. DNA and fingerprints confirmed al-Qurayshi’s death. Also known as Amir Mohammed Saeed Abdul-Rahman al-Mawla, the deceased was born in 1976 and held a degree in Islamic law from the University of Mosul.
In addition to the targeted leader, his wife and two children were also killed, plus several other civilians, including children.
