NEW ORLEANS — Children in New Orleans will need to be fully vaccinated to go to school or enter public places starting tomorrow.

The mandate is the second phase of a rule put in place before the new year by the New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell.

In January, children had to show proof of at least one vaccine to enter public spaces with a fully vaccinated rule for public schools by Feb. 1.

Cantrell said that the move was made to keep people safe ahead of the holiday seasons as well as for Carnival Season.  .  .
