Firefighter Responding To Call In Stockton Shot And Killed; Subject In Custody

STOCKTON (CBS13) — A firefighter was shot and killed while responding to a call in Stockton early Monday morning.

The Stockton Fire Department firefighter who was killed has been identified as 47-year-old Captain. Videl “Max” Fortuna.

Police say the suspect in the shooting has been identified as a 67-year-old man. No other suspects are being sought in connection with the shooting. A police spokesperson says the investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
