HEART-WARMING moment Welsh police officers rescue a distressed deer caught up in a rope swing.

Officers from Dyfed Powys Police were called to the scene of an animal in distress and quickly acted to free the deer.

Police officers had to approach with caution and carefully cut the deer free in order not to further panic or aggravate the animal.

I once rescued a deer whose antlers were caught in a barbed wire fence. He just stood there as I unwrapped the wire from his antlers. I then had to pull him back away from the fence and turn his head away from the fence before he trotted off. The whole time I was afraid of being impaled.

Been there, done that... my two friends and I have a running joke about how easy it is to hog-tie a deer.
