Well, according to the sign on the left, if you're looking for gates 5 to 9, you go to the left. Since that range includes Gate 5, you would go left.

But, the sign on the right says that you go straight to get to gates 1 to 6. Since that range includes Gate 5, you would go straight.

So, to get to Gate 5, one must go both straight and to the left, if both signs are accurate.
