Rep. Mike Turner (R-OH) will replace retiring Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) as ranking member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) announced Turner’s appointment to the committee on Thursday, noting his unwavering commitment to the country:

Rep. Mike Turner (R-OH) will replace retiring Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA)
as ranking member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

Mike Turner is my local congress critter.
He's conservative most of the time,
but he recently voted FOR the vaccine database.

The core mission of his entire career in Congress has been
bringing projects and money to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
(Which houses the National Air Intelligence Center,
which is now having a major construction project expanding the place.
Their mission is to monitor technological development in foreign countries,
with an eye toward how those new technologies could be used in military systems.)

He did perform well in a Trump impeachment hearing.
Vindman spent the entire morning saying, "Trump did this, Trump did that..."
In the afternoon, Mike Turner got his turn to question Vindman.
Turner asked, "Did you yourself actually witness ANY of the things of which you've been testifying?"
Vindman replied, "Well, no.  Based on what I heard, I just presumed..."
Turner replied, "So all you have is hearsay!  You have nothing!"

Appointing Turner as Ranking Member means,
when the Republicans win the House this fall,
Turner will become the CHAIRMAN of the House Intelligence Committee!
So this is pretty important.
