The suburban counties of Loudoun and Henrico (outside Richmond) currently have over 80% in. Youngkin is out performing Gillespie by about 8 points in each county. If these numbers hold, it will be hard, even for the Democrats, to manufacture enough votes in Fairfax to make it up.

The model is stabilizing around Youngkin +3 with 32% of the vote in. Things are close enough and there are enough votes left in Fairfax where McAuliffe could win, but the model sees a pretty likely (70%) R win in Virginia tonight. And a swing to Rs of at least 10 pts either way.

Fox News' Bill Hemmer reports that Glenn Youngkin is now outperforming Donald Trump in many rural counties in the Virginia's governor race. One would think that would portend well, but all eyes are now on Fairfax County for anticipated last-minute election hijinx.

Trump can’t be let back in. DeSantis has to run. This is a conservative country tired of left wing fascism. Trump had his shot and blew it. He can live off that $250,000,000 he raised to “fight voter fraud,” which he hasn’t used to do anything. Enough is enough.

I don’t know what’s gonna happen, but I know this: Republicans lost the suburbs in 2018 & 2020 because of Trump. Looks like Republicans grabbed the suburbs back today because of the issue of education.

And if the Dem takeaway is all “CRT & race,” they’re really missing the boat.

Fairfax dumped the absentees. Youngkin got 17% of those and total was around 56k.

He only needed 15%.

Folks, heard from a TOP GOP lawyer in VA tonight that the Fairfax County thing had to do with an out of date/defective memory card. Both sides signed off on re-scan &it was witnessed by GOP lawyers in the room the whole time. Ain't over till its over, but looks good for Youngkin!

Folks, heard from a TOP GOP lawyer in VA tonight that the Fairfax County thing had to do with an out of date/defective memory card. Both sides signed off on re-scan &it was witnessed by GOP lawyers in the room the whole time. Ain't over till its over, but looks good for Youngkin!
Reportedly there were an army of lawyers and activists watching the henhouse on Youngkin’s behalf tonight.
