CoCo County is across the Bay and a bit north from SF. But their "Health" bureaucrats are the same kind of stupid. As the article notes, the restaurant is doing drive-through, take-out, and outdoor dining (weather still OK on many days). Other than hurting employees by there being fewer people per shift, I doubt the store will be much hurt, since drive-through is such a major part of In-N-Out's sales model.

IMO, this is a fight the "Health" bureaucrats should have been smart enough not to start, but being bureaucrats, are not.

In-N-Out is a CA icon, and it would suck if they have to start shutting them down because of the Cali rules.

Like I said above, I think it's the sort of fight the bureaucrats should not have started. They couldn't even eke out a Pyrrhic victory. Stores will not be significantly hurt, stores will evade or defy, and customers will support them. On the customer side, it will likely mushroom into a buycott that will rival the CfA buycott.

Totally agree on all points.  The effort to enforce a medical mandate is worse than a disaster, it's a blunder.  The bureaucrats managed to get both side of commerce mad at them.

Never been to an "In-N-Out" (spent very little time in California and that was forty years ago).

But if they want to survive as a going concern, perhaps they ought to consider "packing it IN" N "moving out of" California...
