California took another step toward its goal of ridding the state of all gas-powered engines thanks to a new bill signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom on Saturday.

The new law will ban the sale of all off-road, gas-powered engines, including generators, lawn equipment, pressure washers, chainsaws, weed trimmers, and even golf carts. Under the new law , these machines must be zero-emissions, meaning they will have to be either battery-powered or plug-in, according to the Los Angeles Times .

"This is a pretty modest approach to trying to limit the massive amounts of pollution that this equipment emits, not to mention the health impact on the workers who are using it constantly," Marc Berman, the bill's author, told the outlet. "It’s amazing how people react when they learn how much this equipment pollutes, and how much smog forming and climate changing emissions that small off-road engine equipment creates."

The new law is expected to affect nearly 50,000 small businesses . California's budget includes $30 million to help professional landscapers and gardeners quit using gas-powered equipment, but even then, the budget is still not capable of bearing the full financial burden.

California is at war with small businesses. (they call them racist) But that is not all. California is driving mega-corporations out as well. There is no question that California has become a militantly anti-business State.

Over the next few years, we will all see California devolve into the third world (which is where they 'want' to be) even more than it is now.

They're doing that for cosmetologists - the State Board, who governs sanitary and other industry standards, is seeking the discretion to allow waivers for those who cut hair on overturned buckets in the barrio, ghetto etc. while those who try to abide by the rules will continue to have their nuts in the Board's vice. The good news for the rest of us is there is going to be a glut of both new and used riding mowers on the market,at rock bottom prices.

Not to mention ATV's that were going to be used by hunters and campers. It would take a REALLY long cord to be able to plug them in each night for recharging when you consider how far off the beaten path these people go.

California is entitled to run their state anyway they want.The problem is California is negatively impacting the entire country by bleeding socialist rules and laws and forcing corporations to cater the the large market.  When California decided to do away with incandescent light bulbs, then executive rules banning them went into effect then the companies stopped making them.  The same with this lunacy with the small engines, biden is going to grab this and force the rest of the country to comply...
