Um, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the Super Bowl halftime show supposed to have... uh... music??? It's almost enough to make one nostalgic for Up with People.

The other thing that troubles me... lack of music aside... is this: some of these artists are among the most hateful and violent rappers to have ever become famous. Eminem and Dre are notorious for it, and a lot of Snoop Dogg's earlier work (closely aligned with Dre) was just as bad, even if the weed has mellowed him to the point where he now more closely resembles the cartoon beagle from whom he took his name.

These are the people that the National Football League want to put on a national stage?

the NFL has made it crystal clear they no longer want me as a customer. And it was easier to oblige them than I thought it might be.

The halftime show will also feature a fifteen minute speech, with the face of George Floyd superimposed in the background, by Tanehisi Coates, Nikole Hannah-Jones,  and Ibram X. Kendi lecturing white crowd members and tv viewers about their ineradicable racism and leading them in a chant about how evilly racist they all are and making them promise to stop practicing white supremacy. It could happen.

NFL, halftime, what is that exactly?

I wrote off the NFL, NBA, MLB, and virtually EVERY professional organization that embraced the total disgrace of this kneeling business on TAXPAYER FUNDED fields, stadiums, arenas, etc.  If these worthless maggots were playing on fields they funded, or the owners funded, I just would not care, but since the TAXPAYERS have funded where they play, I am HIGHLY OFFENDED!

I can go the rest of my life never watching any of them again.  NEVER!  Yes, NEVER is a long time, and I am very comfortable with my decision.

Yea... in the 50's I had all the cards, thousands of them.  Knew all the players names and which team... fun times.
During the 60's rooting for the redskins and most of our family is in Texas so the cowboys/redskins games always resulted in numerous bragging phone calls...  No more..
