Fauci warns there is no end in sight to the pandemic because Covid cases in the US are 16 TIMES too high: Until infections drop below 10,000 a day, 'we're still in pandemic mode'

    As the U.S. sees upwards of 160,000 new COVID-19 cases per day, Dr Anthony Fauci says the country is far from in control of the pandemic
    'The endgame is to suppress the virus,' Fauci told Axios, but the country is still in 'pandemic mode' with the current high case level
    Pandemic hotspots such as South Carolina, West Virginia, and Idaho exemplify the country's lack of control over this Covid surge
    To reach the end of the pandemic - under 10,000 new cases per day - the US needs to vaccinate more people, Fauci said

As the U.S. sees upwards of 160,000 new COVID-19 cases per day, the nation's top infectious disease expert says the country is far from in control of the pandemic.

'The endgame is to suppress the virus,' Dr Anthony Fauci told Axios in an interview on Thursday.

But with the current high case level, 'we're still in pandemic mode,' he said.

This past year revealed to Americans that our most lauded experts are idiots and, in the case of Fauci highly culpable, dishonest idiots. Everything they told us has been proven wrong, from COVID’s origins, to the lockdowns and masks, to the attacks on affordable early treatments, to the vaccines’ safety and efficacy. Yet we are told to follow the science when there is no science to follow.

Fauci knows full well that achieving that threshold is unachievable. He wants to stay in power the rest of his natural life and this is how he is going to do it: by setting an impossible demand and not stepping down until it happens, which it never will.

Mere case counts, without an indication of severity of symptoms, is not the correct metric.

And how is that compared to past years of the flu?

Assuming Fauxci's numbers are right - and that's always debatable - this is hardly different than a bad flu season.
