Sophia Loren ... she's still alive.  Marilyn Monrore is worm food.

She is 86 and in my opinion, still a beautiful woman!

@libertybele

It's dangrous for heterosexual men over 60 to look into those eyes. Especially if she is slightly smiling.

Sophia. It will ALWAYS be Sophia.

I'll definitely go for that.  Weird as it sounds, I always had a thing for AB.

Apparently no one recognizes Senta Berger. As I said, she didn't grace the silver screen (in English-speaking movies) as often as the others, but she did have a sexy accent. At least my husband thought so. I must admit ... the man had great taste in women. After all, he picked me.  :whistle:

@AllThatJazzZ

She was in a Clint Eastwood horse opera. Smoking hot,and the accent didn't hurt,either. "2 Mules for Sister Sarah"???

I agree that she is a close runner up to Sophia,but even she isn't Sophia.

Someone posted a phot earlier of Sophi's face looking into a camera. Just her face. She isn't even smiling,but the look in those eyes and those lips are enough to take your breath away even if you have never see her body. She could look at me in real life and smile,and I would faint dead away. THAT is what makes Sophia a Super Power,and she was born with it.

Apparently no one ever saw Matt Helm The Ambushers. The Matt Helm movies were a farce with Dean Martin phoning in his role but they did have a lot of hot women in the movies. Senta Berger, Elke Sommer, Sharon Tate, Nancy Kwan, Ann Margaret, Stella Stevens, Daliah Lavi. Funny thinking about the movies reminded me of Cyd Charisse, now there's a woman that oozed sex appeal.

That was taken on the Canada side, correct?

I would say yes, because I saw another pic of her at Niagara Falls and the 'railing' was merely a cable wire connected to the stone posts.

The American Side of Niagara Falls is a SLUM compared to the Canadian Side.  Always has been since I was a lad.  (I'm 75)

Why are her pictures disappearing?  I wore those kind of shoes too.  MULES.  Very comfortable.  No much on your feet and easy to slip off under a desk...at work!

Ahh..perhaps it's just me.

With the WOKE movement  and all, and the racial White guilt, that photo screams it.  Back in 1957 that black woman couldn't eat at the same counter or use the same bathroom.

Given the binary choice, no questions:  Sophia Loren.

But since others are proposing alternatives, I've always been partial to Hedy Lamarr.

Beauty and brains in spades!

Hedy Lamarr was an Austrian-American actress and inventor who pioneered the technology that would one day form the basis for today's WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth communication systems.

In 1942, during the heyday of her career, Lamarr earned recognition in a field quite different from entertainment. She and her friend, the composer George Antheil, received a patent for an idea of a radio signaling device, or "Secret Communications System," which was a means of changing radio frequencies to keep enemies from decoding messages. Originally designed to defeat the German Nazis, the system became an important step in the development of technology to maintain the security of both military communications and cellular phones.

Sophia Loren

@DCPatriot

Sophia. It is ALWAYS going to be Sophia. She is impossibly perfect in every respect. Even if you are a blind man that voice alone will make you dizzy from the sudden loss of oxygen to the brain,and if you can look into those eyes,you are lost.

There MIGHT be something she couldn't talk me into doing,even at my advanced age,but I have no idea what it would be. All she would have to do is say my name,and follow it with whatever it was she wanted,and if I didn't faint dead away,I would stand there bobbing my head like a bobblehead doll,with drool running down my chin,whining,and stamping my foot.

All this,and MY personal kink is for green-eyed redheads. Those eyes,those lips,that voice, are super powers of their own.

Oh,and in case you are blind or have never seen a photo of her,her body ain't too shabby,either.

We're the same generation, @sneakypete   So it's not surprising we agree that there's Sophia Loren...and then there's everybody else.

It's interesting to see Gina Lollobrigida, Raquel Welch and to a lesser degree, Elizabeth Taylor included in our 'survey'/opinion here.

No doubt, Marilyn Monroe is the ICON because she's 'immortal'.  Unfortunately, we got to see Elizabeth Taylor age.  If she died tragically at 36, we'd be talking about her.

My first girlfriend could of been a Marilyn (Norma Jean) look alike (minus 2 inches height). So I will have to go with Monroe.

IF I remember correctly,she was also supposed to have been VERY smart.

I do admit to having a sexual kink for smart women,and I write that while acknowledging that my ex has the IQ of a turnip.

Guilty,but I am not sure "want" is the right word. I don't even think I would have a choice,but truth to tell,it is her eyes and her face that draw me in. Don't get me wrong,I LOVE the "other stuff" too,but it has always been those eyes and that face.

She is nothing less that absolute womanly perfection in the flesh.

No government in the 12,000 years of modern mankind history has led its people into anything but the history books with a simple lesson, don't let this happen to you.

Joan Blondell certainly made a lot of risque movies in her early career, but then that was pre Hayes Code? And yes she was a lovely woman.

Might as well include Rita Hayworth (and her big hair)

If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

@jafo2010

It is really unfair to all the other women to have a comparison contest. There are many,MANY truely stunning women out there,but there was only one Sophia.
