AG Paxton: Democrats ‘Could Be Arrested as Soon as They Step Back on Texas Soil’

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is warning Democrats, who left the state in an apparent effort to block an election bill, could face arrest when they return to the state.

During an interview on Newsmax, Paxton did not mince his words when discussing

“If you care about the Constitution, there are constitutional obligations to emerge when there is a session and represent the people they are elected to represent,” Paxton said.

“We have a minority of Democrats who decided that they are not going to let any other legislator vote, so they’re not even going let other legislators do their obligation,” he added.

Paxton added, “It’s pellucidly an infringement of the law.”
