Fauci Email Dump Illustrates A Dismissive Physician Who Rose To Fame To Cover His Own Scandal
The treasure trove of Anthony Fauci's emails this week peels back the curtain on a government bureaucrat operating as a government bureaucrat.

June 3, 2021

A treasure trove of emails from National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) Director Dr. Anthony Fauci’s were made public this week by BuzzFeed News after a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) opened the inbox of the nation’s face of the pandemic and ensuing institutional decay.

More than 3,200 pages dated from January to June 2020 reveal a portrait of a government bureaucrat lifted up as a god-like figure in the legacy media who did what most government bureaucrats do: operate in their own self-interest no matter the stakes.

On Tuesday, the Washington Post published its findings from a smaller series of emails obtained through a separate FOIA request. It painted the most predictable narrative one could expect from the pinnacle paper of Trump resistance: the heroic image of an 80-year-old physician steering the nation through a once-in-a-generation pathogen in the apparent absence of presidential leadership. The Post, however, kept its retrieved emails concealed.

BuzzFeed, on the other hand, published all 3,324 documents. Those depict an arrogant, dismissive physician who from the very start began to cover for his potential role in the lab leak theory, going as far as to brand himself the most credible voice in the world on COVID to do so.

@mystery-ak

The article is bovine scatology.  I read a bunch of the emails and there is nothing wrong with any of them.  Fauci was learning about this new virus as more information was known about it.  He could not have known everything about it at the beginning.  Now, they say he knew masks would not work to keep out the virus; no, he said from the beginning the masks were to keep the wearer from spreading the virus, not to keep the mask wearer from getting it.

Yet masks DIDN'T keep people from spreading the virus. If it had prevented the spread, nursing homes would have been safe since Covid is not usually spread through contact. If you were getting a haircut from someone with Covid and everyone was masked, you would get enough of a dose to get sick.

The mask was largely a virtue signal.

IMHO, Fauci is a FRAUD.  He proved it in the 80's by scaring the $hit (no pun intended) out of the heterosexuals just to acquire funding for his HIV research from the Reagan Administration.
No government in the 12,000 years of modern mankind history has led its people into anything but the history books with a simple lesson, don't let this happen to you.

Some of us knew what we're finding out now in those emails all along.

We were lied to and this virus was politicized to bring down a Presidency.

    • I try my best ...

The mask was largely a virtue signal.
Fauci said this many times.
"Wearing a mask shows you care."
"Wearing a mask is the right thing to do."
"Wearing a mask makes others feel safe."

Fauci may have said that 'masks' would slow the spread at one time and another, but his primary argument for masks was to keep COVID alive and to keep the fear ever rolling. Fauci himself rarely if ever said that masks would 'prevent' infection. That was something the Mask Nazis and Liberal Democrats painted on him. But it was never Fauci's main arguement.

I am surprised at how fast the FOIA request was accomplished.
Gov. usually stone-walls these things taking years to comply.
Other times, they deny them altogether.

Dr. Fauci is being thrown under the bus.
I am not saying he doesn't deserve it, but why?
Who's next?
what's next?

Bill Gates had his dirty laundry put out there, too.

What are they really trying to suppress here?

This is our shiny object today, but to keep us from looking at what?

IMHO part of the reason it was done so quickly was because the WaPo was involved in the request.

Fauci has served his purpose and he's not useful to the left anymore.  But now that he's becoming a liability they have to throw him under the bus.

Curious as to why WaPo would ask for the FOIA to get the e-mails.
They are in cahoots with these folks.

Did someone from the Administration go the WaPo and ask them to do this?
