So much for fairness: Transgender woman golfer wins mini-tour event, aims for LPGA
Washington Times
By Kelly Sadler - The Washington Times - Monday, May 17, 2021

Last week, Hailey Davidson, a transgender woman, won her first professional title in Florida, topping LPGA player Perrine Delacour for the win.

The same day, she was sent an email by the USGA saying she’s met the organization’s Gender Policy eligibility criteria and can now compete in its championships and she’s hoping to hear similar news from the LPGA via a reciprocity agreement, according to Golfweek.

So much for fairness in women’s sports.

In January, Ms. Davidson underwent gender reassignment surgery, and she’s been undergoing hormone treatments since 2015. Since transitioning, Ms. Davidson said she hits shorter and swings slower — yet she still was born a man, and obviously, has a physical advantage over biological women.

The science in these cases is clear. Biological men have more muscle mass, larger hearts and lungs, and therefore greater stamina than biological women. Their bones are bigger, and their testosterone helps promote muscle memory — that doesn’t go away even after hormone therapy. Therefore, transgender girls have a heightened ability to build strength even after they’ve transitioned. ...

On President Biden’s first day in office, he signed an executive order threatening to pull federal funding from schools that didn’t allow transgender girls to compete on biological girls sports teams. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi followed suit and passed the radical Equality Act, which would codify Mr. Biden’s order. ...

Mr. M and I are huge LPGA fans. We're even attending the Solheim Cup (women's counterpart to the Ryder Cup international competition) in September. While I don't believe this she-man will earn his card to compete on the LPGA, as opposed to one of the minor league women's golf tours where he defeated Delacour, this still is offensive and an affront to all actual female athletes - just as that loser New Zealand male weightlifter who's being permitted to compete against women in the Olympics.

Hailey Davidson begins quest to become first transgender woman to earn LPGA card at Q-School

Golfweek

The par-4 fifth at the The Dye Preserve in Jupiter, Florida, used to be a juicy risk/reward hole for Hailey Davidson at about 290 yards with a cut driver. Now Davidson jokes that she could get the luckiest bounce off a concrete path and still not reach the green. Six years into her gender transition, Davidson reckons she’s now shorter off the tee than the Korda sisters.

“Lost another half a club of yardage,” bemoaned Davidson earlier this month. “I thought I was done losing yardage.”

This week Davidson, 28, becomes the second transgender woman to tee it up in the first stage of LPGA Q-School. The first, Bobbi Lancaster, was a 63-year-old physician from Arizona who earned Symetra Tour status in 2013, but ultimately spent her time traveling the country as a human rights advocate.  ...

He opened with a 72 at Q-School and is T-72. A minimum of 95 players and ties will advance to Stage II out of a field of 339. This whackjob actually may earn his way onto the Ladies' tour.  *****rollingeyes*****

Golfer is set to become the first transgender woman to win coveted Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour card after seeing-off competition at qualifier

Hailey Davidson, 29, is on her way to becoming the first transgender woman to earn an LPGA tour card after success in the first two days of Stage I qualifiers
She shot a 70 on Thursday and hit a 76 during the second round on Friday
According to the LPGA's rules, any player who shoots under 88 after all three rounds will earn a 2023 Epson Tour Status
Davidson last competed as a male golfer in 2015, undergoing hormone therapy and completing her transition in 2021
She said she now hits the ball 15 mph slower, and labeled the majority of criticisms against her dream of competing as transphobic
The LPGA Tour had removed its 'female at birth' requirement back in 2010

A golfer is poised to become the first transgender woman to earn a Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) tour card after beating much of her competition in the first two qualifying rounds.

Hailey Davidson, 29, had a strong finish in the first two rounds of the first stage of the LPGA and Epson Tour Qualifying School in Palm Springs this week.

Davidson, a Scotland native who lives in Florida, shot a 70 in the first round at the Shadow Ridge Golf Club in Palm Desert California, on Thursday, and hit a 76 during the second round on Friday, Fox News reported.

Unlike sports like track and field, in golf a guy doesn't necessarily have an intrinsic advantage when competing against women. The LPGA made a big mistake removing the "female at birth" requirement though. This is just absurd.

But a female golfer only goes to the hole with one ball.
You don’t become cooler with age but you do care progressively less about being cool, which is the only true way to actually be cool.

Gee whiz...I wonder what the chances of a ..ahem..."transgender" man playing in a male pro sports org/league is? Can we say.....ZERO!!!!!!!
So what's going to happen when one of these weirdos starts winning in whatever women's sports? How about when one gets to the Olympics?
The world is now upside down. Or least America is.

I have to disagree. Men have a huge advantage over women in golf.  The average PGA Tour male player hits the ball about 300 yards.  The best females cannot approach that number, and the average on the LPGA is around 260.  The longest PGA hitter hits it 316 on average versus the longest female at 284.  That is a 32 yard difference.

A scratch male amateur would beat the best LPGA player most of the time if both played from the back tees.

This transgender says (s)he hits it 15 yards less since the transition.  That would still be 20-25 yards better than the average female pro if (s)he is any good at all.

Adult males have a ten percent average athletic advantage on females. If someone has a five percent advantage over you, they're going to kick your fanny on a regular basis in whatever sport you might name.
If someone has a ten percent advantage, you might as well not show up to compete against them.
For some odd reason there was a myth propagated by ignorant lib sportswriters that the top female in pro tennis could beat any male not in the top 200.
So the Williams sister, Serena and Venus,  challenged some male pros outside the top 200 to a tennis match. Some German pro, whose name I can't remember, took them up on it. He beat both of them handily one after the other and later said he really wasn't trying very hard.
Because the difference between the top males and the top females is so large. The difference in ability between the top pros in any sport and the pros way down the list is slight.
The Williams sister would have been better matched to try to find a male pro outside the top 1000.

Trans golfer Hailey Davidson fights to join LPGA amid backlash

By Snejana Farberov
August 22, 2022

Hailey Davidson is vying to become the first transgender golfer to earn a Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour card — despite facing a furious backlash from critics who believe that she has an unfair biological advantage.

Davidson, 29, played two strong rounds at the LPGA Qualifying School in Palm Springs, California, over the weekend, shooting a 70 on Thursday, followed by a 76 the next day, Fox News Digital reported.

LPGA rules dictate that any player who shoots under 88 in all three rounds will earn a 2023 Epson Tour Status, which is the qualifying tour for the LPGA Tour.

The top 100 players will move on to Stage II in October.

...  Hailey Davidson, 29, a transgender woman who first competed at Stage I last year, was among those who missed the cut after rounds of 70-76-73.

Davidson became the second transgender golfer to compete in the event after Bobbi Lancaster, a 63-year-old physician from Arizona who earned Epson Tour status in 2013, but ultimately spent her time traveling the country as a human rights advocate.

Davidson earned a scholarship to play on the men’s team at Wilmington University, an NCAA Division II school in Delaware, before transferring to the men’s team at Christopher Newport, an NCAA Division III school in Virginia.

Davidson began undergoing hormone treatments on Sept. 24, 2015, a date that’s tattooed on her right forearm, and in January 2021, underwent gender reassignment surgery, a six-hour procedure that’s required under the LPGA’s Gender Policy.   ...

Not saying it's impossible, but few D-III golfers of either sex are likely to find success on the professional tours. Most of the current active LPGA players went to women's golf powerhouses at the D-I level, like Arizona State, Duke, Stanford, UCLA, USC, etc., although a few skipped college, like Lexi Thompson and the many top Korean golfers.

It shouldn’t be allowed to play in the LPGA. It’s not a woman; it’s a male who committed genital self-mutilation due to unaddressed mental illness.

Former LPGA Tour Player Sounds Off On Trans Golfer Hailey Davidson's 'Unfair' Participation In Q School

Former LPGA Tour player Amy Olson revealed that she possesses common sense and a basic understanding of biology as she sounded off against transgender golfer Hailey Davidson's inclusion in LPGA Qualifying School.

Davidson was among the 332 players who competed in the pre-qualifying stage of Q school this past week. After finishing 42nd, the former male collegiate player earned a spot in October's first qualifying stage where players will compete for status on the Epson Tour, the equivalent to the Korn Ferry Tour on the men's side.

Olson, who recently retired from professional golf, shared her thoughts about Davidson's inclusion in Q school while sharing a post from OutKick's Riley Gaines calling out the ridiculousness of the situation.

"Unfair. These women have worked too hard and too long to have to stand by and watch a man compete for and take their spot," Olson wrote on X. "The only fair path forward is a policy based on sex, not gender." ...

In March, NXXT Golf, a women's professional tour Davidson was competing and winning on, announced that all competitors must be a biological female at birth to participate. The LPGA and USGA allowing Davidson to compete, at least for the time being, signals that neither organization is looking to ban biological men from competing against women until they're potentially forced to do so. ...
Amy is one of my favorite golfers. I'm sure she'll get the J.K. Rowling treatment for her comments.

In a sane world, there should be a few hundred past angry women ambushing this SOB. (AFter hours)

If he wants to be a woman, let these ladies rip them off, then tee them testicles up.
