California public schools see 'sharp decline' in enrollment

Quote
The California Department of Education data shows that the number of students at K-12 schools dropped by more than 160,000 this academic year, most of them at the K-6 level, to a total of 6 million.

The drop is by far the biggest decline in years and represents the clearest picture yet of the pandemic´s devastating toll on California public schools.

GOOD. Folks figured out they can teach the kids at home for an hour or two a day and the kids get a better education and will almost invariably post far better grades.

*AND* parents control the curriculum.

And with them go all those federal matching funds, too bad so effing sad. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of grifters.

Of course they'll still have to pay the school property taxes.
