  • WE are NOT ok!
Anyone have a preference with these three?  Not a fan of either really, but Dominos is closest so we do order from them on occassion --- they have social distancing in place as well.  We put a tv tray outside with money in an envelope and they come and deliver the pizza and leave it on the TV tray.  I find Pizza Hut too greasy and Papa John's doesn't deliver out this far.

How Dominos, Papa John's and Pizza Hut menu tweaks are sparking a pizza war

Goodbye chicken sandwich wars -- say hello to the battle for pizza supremacy.

COVID-19 eating trends, which have given a boost to fast food delivery and sparked ferocious demand for comfort food, have also been a boon for pizza chains like Domino’s, Papa John’s, Pizza Hut, among others. In recent months, these pizza makers -- which make up 8% of all pizza consumption, according to data from Tastewise -- have leaned in on menu innovation and delivery in the fight for customer loyalty.

Just last month, Pizza Hut (YUM) unveiled four separate "Detroit-style" pizza recipes chock full of meat that start at $10.99. Detroit Double Pepperoni, Double Cheesy, Meaty Deluxe and Supremo, starting at $10.99. The pizza chain, which saw an 8% boost in sales last quarter, also debuted a limited edition Nothing But Stuffed Crust earlier that month, in honor of the 25th anniversary of the launch of its Original Stuffed Crust Pizza..............

I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

Papa Johns and Pizza hut are too far away, we either get Dominos or "New York Flying Pizza".
Tried the Chicken Taco. IMNHO not worth the money.

I don't know where the closest Papa John's, Domino's or Pizza the Hut are from our house. If we want inexpensive & OK we get Round Table. If we want pricey quality we get Patxi's, a local place that has several locations in the South Bay.

Unless it's changed in recent years, in Kansas along US 36 just about every town has a Pizza the Hut.
If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.

If I want a pizza I go to Costco, cheaper, bigger and better tasting than the chains as far as I am concerned.

I haven't had quality pizza in years.  I live in the Atlanta metro area, and I do not know a single place with quality pizza.

And I recently learned my favorite pizza place from years ago, which was in the Tampa metro area, called CDBs, was closing its last restaurant.  One piece would fill you up, and it was delicious.

I am sitting here watching a movie called Paris Can Wait, where Diane Lane is traveling through France with a Frenchman, who stops every step of the way eating exquisite meals.  The plates of food are to die for.  In my traveling days, I ate this way, high quality food.  Miss that life.

So, what is everyone's favorite pizza place?  As I mentioned, mine is gone.  But I would be curious to know what others believe is their favorite in the nation, not just where you live presently.

Detroit pizza is very unappealing to me - way too much dough.

Rizzo's Pizza in Lomita, CA makes a good pie.   Much better than the national chains.

  • I was a "conspiracy theorist". Now I'm just right.
All 'fast food' outlets are shuffling menus constantly, looking for something to get your nose in the door, or have you click on their app. Nothing unusual in that.
Some items are mainstays, which will remain constant, others may become that if they are popular enough, but the specials keep their images and name on your screen, and (for them) hopefully, on your table.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

My brother retired as multi-location owner of the most popular/favorite pizza/sub shop in Western New York.

He was telling this this week that most of these chains today aren't serving genuine mozzarella or other high grade cheeses on their pies.

If they did, a 12 inch pie would cost $25.00

He said you couldn't pay him to go back into it.
