In a time of universal deceit - telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

Sure did!
I was more into the bubble gum ones with the paper wrapper and white powder inside, when you blew through them it looked like you were really smoking.  :pondering: maybe that's why I smoked real cigarettes for those years. maybe I can find a shyster to sue the tobacco and candy companies.

I like the crumbly cigarettes because they tasted like a crumbly wintergreen lifesaver.  Plus it was a lot of candy...  12 or so cigarettes in a real looking pack.

Here is another one from that era of the early '60's.  Anyone else remember these at Halloween?

I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

No government in the 12,000 years of modern mankind history has led its people into anything but the history books with a simple lesson, don't let this happen to you.

Yes, I pretended that the candy cigarettes were real.  If I recall they had a red circle on the end -- they were pre-lit!  I started smoking when I was 13 and stopped when I was 26.  Years add up.  By that time I had already smoked for 13 years.  Was it worth quitting?  Sure, obviously quit when you're pregnant, but I'm not so sure that not smoking afterwards has done me a darn bit of good.  I have numerous health issues and most related to stress ... cigarettes were always a stress reducer for me.

Well I smoked for a few more years than you 16to 30 but I can't count a lot of cigarettes lit as smoked, it was back when smoking was still allowed in restaurant and the last ten years of smoking my cigarette would invariably burn down in the ashtray on my desk with me only taking a drag or two. I never did smoke at home.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
