Joe Biden announces senior members of WH staff as transition efforts continue
November 17, 2020 | Jon Dougherty

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden announced new staff members for his presumptive administration on Tuesday as his White House transition effort continues, though President Donald Trump’s campaign continues to challenge election results in several states.

“I am proud to announce additional members of my senior team who will help us build back better than before. America faces great challenges, and they bring diverse perspectives and a shared commitment to tackling these challenges and emerging on the other side a stronger, more united nation,” Biden said in a statement.

Added Ron Klain, slated to become Biden’s White House chief of staff, “President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Harris have an ambitious and urgent agenda for action. The team we have already started to assemble will enable us to meet the challenges facing our country on day one.”

Staffers named include:

Anthony Bernal: Senior adviser to Dr. Jill Biden

Bernal was the deputy campaign manager for the Biden-Harris campaign and served all eight years of the Obama-Biden administration in various support staff roles.

Mike Donilon: Senior adviser to the president

Donilon served as counselor to Biden when he was vice president. He has been a Democrat Party operative and pollster for four decades.

Jen O’Malley Dillon: Deputy chief of staff

Dillon was the Biden-Harris campaign manager. She has worked on seven different presidential campaigns.

Dana Remus: Counselor to the president

Remus was general counsel for the Biden-Harris campaign. Also, she served the Obamas and was deputy assistant to the president and deputy counsel for ethics during the Obama years.

Julissa Reynoso Pantaleon: Chief of staff for Jill Biden

A partner in the law firm of Winston & Strawn, she served as U.S. ambassador to Uruguay as well as deputy assistant secretary of state for the Western Hemisphere during the Obama-Biden administration.

Steve Ricchetti: Counselor to the president

Ricchetti served as chairman of the Biden-Harris campaign and has served various administrations for four decades, including as deputy chief of staff to Bill Clinton.

Cedric Richmond: Senior adviser to the president and director of the White House Office of Public Engagement

Rep. Cedric Richmond (D-La.) was the national co-chair of the Biden-Harris campaign.

Julie Rodriguez: Director of the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs

She was the deputy campaign manager for Biden-Harris. Before then, she served as the national political director and traveling chief of staff for Sen. Harris.

Annie Tomasini: Director of Oval Office operations

Currently, Tomasini serves as Biden’s traveling chief of staff.

Are you kidding? She’s the one who shoved her addled, way past use by date husband front and center. Something tells me it’s all about Jill.

She’ll need to deal with Heels Up at some point, though.
