btw @libertybele , I personally called Sen Daines who I know, and whose office folks I know very well through enough calls to be on a first name basis, that he was not going to get my vote this time around specifically and only because of his voting for budgetary disaster. He damn well should have known better.
And I am not alone. He is having a tough pull against Bullock of all people - The Dem governor that shut the state down... Daines needs every vote, and I know I am not alone. If he makes it back in it will be a squeaker, and I am sure he knows why he is getting spanked.
The runaway spending and squandering of our resources is a deep concern; though I highly doubt that the Biden Harris camp and the DEM politicians will be any less guilty. They created a monster called COVID and have used it to destroy the accomplishments Trump made in boosting the economy and bringing down unemployment, etc.
Personally, I feel we need to go back to the gold standard but that's a discussion for a different day and time.
Certainly Biden Harris will lead us to become a Venezuela type entity ... runaway spending will eventually get us there as well. I believe that with Trump we may have a glimmer of hope to recoup some of that debt.
I clearly understand your viewpoint that it doesn't matter which side is voted in; both will take us down that rabbit hole -- just one side will get us there much quicker.
There is no alternative as the candidate for the Constitution Party is worthless. Biden isn't an option obviously. Trump offers the best chance this Republic has of surviving .... but if the GOP loses the Senate it won't make a darn bit of difference.
In retrospect, I didn't vote for McCain and voted 3rd party which in reality gave us 8 long years of Obama as the GOP didn't recognize that they had been spanked.
IMHO the GOP RINO's still don't get it ... they think they won't be on the receiving end of socialistic policies, or that we could ever become a Venezuela. Idiots!
