Biden opens 14-point national lead over Trump after debate

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden holds a 14-point lead over President Trump in a national poll taken right after their first debate.

Biden has the support of 53 percent of registered voters in the NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll released early Sunday, compared to Trump’s 39 percent.

Biden’s lead increased 8 percentage points from a poll before last week’s debate, NBC News noted, adding that the former vice president’s current advantage over Trump is his largest of the 2020 campaign.


Almost half of respondents – 49 percent – told pollsters that Biden did a better job in the debate, which was marked by repeated interruptions and personal insults. Roughly one-quarter – 24 percent – said Trump did better.

The poll of 800 registered voters was conducted between Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, before Trump’s positive coronavirus test was announced. It has a margin of error of 3.5 percentage points.

I want another Hillary type poll. I need a poll that shows Biden 99points ahead of Trump.
Nothing hurts voter turnout more than ridiculous 'polls' showing that Biden cannot lose.
So far, they are keeping it within the teens. 12 points, 13/14 points, it is always right around there somewhere.
This is an exercise in self control. They really want Biden 80 or 90 ahead.
But they have learned that it doesn't work. They would do it if they thought it would help the Communist cause.
Since all these numbers are just 'made up' not grounded in any kind of reality, 14 is the same as 140.
They are just picking the number that they think will help them the most. In this case 14. Tomorrow it will be 24 or 34, who knows what?

This is the DNC we are talking about. There has been elections (in PA,IIRC) where the Dims went on tv screaming about Republican voter fraud because the Dim candidate only got 103 percent of the vote.

Let me add to this...some of these polling forms are deliberately oversampling "suburban" Republicans and undersampling rural Democrats...which make their internal look more reasonable than they actually are (and they already look skewed even without that chicanery).

Odd how this poll jumped but the Harris poll held roughly the same and the IBD halved from 6% to 3% after the debate. There are a TON of shenanigans being played out and what we're seeing in polls like the NBC poll is a classic "push" poll.

Obama/Biden nixed three COLA increases for Social Security and had one year at 0.3%, a number that is not real by no means.  These two clowns are the only ones that ever screwed seniors on Social Security, and yet the rhetoric by the Biden campaign would lead the brain dead Democommies to believe Trump would do harm to them given the chance.

I suggest Trump undo the COLA cuts, provide those to the Social Security recipients and LOUDLY herald the fact he undid another Obama/Biden screwing of the American people.  I encourage everyone here to write the White House and implore them to do this.

And for those that say this will explode Soc Sec that much sooner, then that puts the onus on Congress to get off their dead posteriors and do their job that much sooner, but it ends the Biden nonsense that Trump wants to end Social Security.
