NEW YORK (AP) — Actor Rick Moranis was sucker punched by an unknown assailant while walking Thursday on a sidewalk near New York’s Central Park, a law enforcement official told the Associated Press.

Surveillance video shows a man wearing a black “I (heart) NY” sweatshirt and a backpack hitting the 67-year-old “Ghostbusters” star and knocking him to the ground around 7:24 a.m. Thursday.

The attack happened just a few blocks from the Central Park West apartment building where Moranis’ character lived in the movie.

Moranis took himself to the hospital and later went to a police station to report the incident, according to the official, who was not authorized to speak publicly about the incident and did so on condition of anonymity.   ...

Rick Moranis is literally the most harmless person on earth and he gets brutally punched in the head by some thug in New York City. Thanks for keeping the streets safe for criminals, De Blasio.

Ever notice the BLM crown only attacks the elderly and infirm when they are alone or out numbered.

Moranis is what, 5 foot nothing and 100 and nothin' pounds, and at 67 years old has barely a speck of athletic ability?

In a more advanced society this a**hole would be beaten to a pulp by his own friends for sucker punching someone like Moranis.

Oh,it was more than merely "punched in the head". It was a racist attack against a tiny,elderly white man by a racist black man half his age and half again as big as Moranis.

We would call it a "brutal race crime" if Moranis had done the same to the thug that attacked him,but because it was a black visciously sucker-punching a smaller white man half his age,it's all just peachy-keen.
