So, yeah, I didn't know this board existed.  I had been posting music at the Tables at Mory's board because *ahem* I saw other people doing that.

Hey y'all. :)

There seems like a renewed interest in early 1960s style R&B, like Sam Cooke etc. And that is very good.

1977 senior year in High School.   Bob Seger was my inspiration to grow a beard and let my hair grow past the sholders. Then an aunt at a family reunion told me and everyone there that I looked just like Jesus. And you know what, I looked in the mirror and she was right. I was trying to get that  bad-ass rocker look, and I end up looking like the Prince of Peace. Shaved the beard and hit the barber shortly after.    Still love Seger's music. And I would do anything for that hair back.

Gary Allan's wife suffered from severe depression.  One night, she was in bed suffering from a migraine headache brought on by the depression.  She asked Gary to get her a drink.  As he walked out of the room, she shot herself committing suicide - with their kids in the house.  The episode greatly impacted his music.  About three years after the event, he penned this song.  It was healing.

Here's a fine example of guitar artistry by two of the monsters of the current guitar world.  This was an impromptu jam at last week's NAMM show in Anaheim, CA and I would say the highlight of the show.
