Amazing...........

Yes, they are.  I have seen them in concert a couple times and it amazes me that three guys can make such a big, clean sound.  And, they entertain.

The driving beat in that piece sounds like there should be additional guitars...so I thought maybe in Live venues, they'll play a background track.

It's a double time beat underneath...where's it coming from?   LOL!

Heard this piece today, but it was by a current Country Western singer...it was beautiful...wish I could find it.

40 years of the Top 10 Songs for each month of the years from 1950 to 1990

http://www.45rpmdb.com/Top10.html

Click on the speaker in the middle of the Record and it plays the entire song.

Incidentally, you can not only hear the music, but you get to see the original label,
in addition to getting a photo of the artist, biography and discography.
All this with a nudge to your mouse!

Do/did they perform this song live?

It seems that it would be a very difficult one because of the percussion.   And of course, because she's singing over herself.

These are the days of the endless summer
These are the days, the time is now
There is no past, there's only future
There's only here, there's only now

Oh your smiling face, your gracious presence
The fires of spring are kindling bright
Oh the radiant heart and the song of glory
Crying freedom in the night

These are the days by the sparkling river
His timely grace and our treasured find
This is the love of the one magician
Turned the water into wine

These are the days of the endless dancing and the
Long walks on the summer night
These are the days of the true romancing
When I'm holding you oh, so tight

These are the days by the sparkling river
His timely grace and our treasured find
This is the love of the one great magician
Turned the water into wine

These are the days now that we must savor
And we must enjoy as we can
These are the days that will last forever
You've got to hold them in your heart.

Out on the highways and the by-ways all alone
I'm still searching for, searching for my home
Up in the morning, up in the morning out on the road
And my head is aching and my hands are cold

And I'm looking for the silver lining
Silver lining in the clouds and I'm searching for
And I'm searching for the philosophers stone

And it's a hard road, it's a hard road daddy-o
When my job is turning lead into gold
He was born in the back street
Born in the back street Jelly Roll

I'm on the road again and I'm searching for
The philosophers stone
Can you hear that engine?

Woe, can you hear that engine drone?
Well, I'm on the road again and I'm searching for
Searching for the philosophers stone

Up in the morning, up in the morning
When the streets are white with snow
It's a hard road, it's a hard road daddy-o

Up in the morning, up in the morning
Out on the job, well, you've got me searching for
Searching for, the philosophers stone

Even my best friends
Even my best friends they don't know
That my job is turning lead into gold

When you hear that engine
When you hear that engine drone
I'm on the road again and I'm searching for
The philosophers stone

It's a hard road, even my best friends they don't know

Ladies, gentlemen, and those who have not yet decided - may I introduce you to the one, the only and the inimitable Julie London. Those of a younger age group may recognize her more as the inspiration for Jessica Rabbit.
