Pat Benatar - Promises In The Dark

I truly think this is the best female performance by any female Rocker, absolutely beautiful. Truly, watch it, I think you'll be blown away.  She married the lead guitarist in this video and I think they are still married even today.

AC/DC - Thunderstruck (Live at River Plate)

I bought this on Blue Ray, there are like 250,000 at this concert, it's recent too. Simply the most amazing performance you'll ever see, the entire concert video is like this.  Even if you don't like AC/DC watch this, this is the last "MONSTER BAND" left and their concerts are bigger now than they were in the 80's and 90's

I always loved "Hot Stuff", even though I wouldn't classify that song as "Rock", it definitely rocked, it really had a groove too it. Always loved Donna, sad to see her go.  RIP Donna !

Rush who has met Donna just said she was “one of us”. A “committed Christian and a Right-winger”, who hated the smut in today’s pop music.

yep...I hit itunes this afternoon as soon as I heard and download a couple of Donna Summer tunes to the Ipod.

From everything I have ever heard about her, Donna Summer was a wonderful person, top class all the way, and she will be sorely missed by her family and an enormous fan base.  What a voice, what a Great American Singer, and such a sad, sad loss.

Rest...

My favorite band of all time, this is from thier Reunion in Chicago, they sound exactly like they do in studio in concert, what a voice Dennis DeYoung has ...

My 10-year old son is doing his Dad proud. He is fascinated by Rock and Roll from the 1960’s.  While other kids his age are playing on their X-Box, or wasting time watching hideous cartoons popular today,  he is surfing Youtube for more and more live performance of  1960s groups.  Then he’ll call me downstairs, saying, “Dad look at this one, look at this one”.     Cool stuff I tell you.    A double blessing, he also loves old time radio. Got him a whole set of Charley McCarthy  shows for Christmas, which was at the top of his list to Santa.

This find is from my son.  He found it yesterday.

Guns N' Roses-Civil War

CIVIL WAR
Might as well get ready for it, it's coming ...

Look at your young men fighting
 Look at your women crying
Look at your young men dying
The way they've always done before

Look at the hate we're breeding
Look at the fear we're feeding
Look at the lives we're leading
The way we've always done before
It is almost a law of history that the same wealth that generates a civilization announces its decay. For wealth produce ease as well as art; it softens a people to the ways of luxury and peace and invites invasion from stronger arms and hungrier mouths.
