At historic White House event, UAE and Bahrain to move toward normal ties with Israel
OAN, Sep 15, 2020, Reuters

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The United Arab Emirates and Bahrain on Tuesday will become the latest Arab states to break a longstanding taboo when they sign agreements toward normalizing relations with Israel in a strategic realignment of Middle Eastern countries against Iran.

U.S. President Donald Trump will host the White House ceremony at noon EDT (1600 GMT), capping a dramatic month when first the UAE and then Bahrain agreed to reverse decades of ill will without a resolution of Israel’s decades-old dispute with the Palestinians.

At the U.S.-brokered ceremony, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will sign agreements with Emirati Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al-Nahyan and Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Abdullatif Al Zayani.

The deals make them the third and fourth Arab states to take such steps to normalize ties since Israel signed peace treaties with Egypt in 1979 and Jordan in 1994.

Israel, UAE, Bahrain Set to Sign Milestone Abraham Accords in White House
Epoch Times, Sep 15, 2020

Israel and two other Middle Eastern countries are set to sign milestone deals in the White House on Tuesday.

President Donald Trump will be joined by H.E. Shaikh Khalid Bin Ahmed Bin Mohamed Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s minister of foreign affairs, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the United Arab Emirates’ foreign minister.

The so-called Abraham Accords lay out what the countries agreed to in recent days: the normalization of relations between them.

Israel before the agreements was only recognized by two other countries in the Middle East.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Israel first announced the normalization on Aug. 13, shocking foreign policy observers who long thought such a deal was impossible. Leaders of both countries thanked Trump for his help.

The two countries agreed to cooperate on the development of a vaccine for the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, which causes COVID-19; open mutual embassies; and send flights between the two countries.

Bahrain’s announcement came last week.

“There’s no more powerful response to the hatred that spawned 9/11 than this agreement,” Trump told reporters at the White House, referring to the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks against the United States.

Netanyahu said in an address following Bahrain’s announcement, “It took us 26 years to get from the second peace agreement with an Arab state to the third peace agreement, and it took us not 26 years but 29 days to reach the peace agreement between the third Arab state and the fourth Arab state, and there will be more.”

700 due at White House Israel-UAE-Bahrain signing; Netanyahu to meet Trump first
Times of Israel, Sep 14, 2020

WASHINGTON — As Israelis prepare to enter a three-week lockdown to curb the spread of the coronavirus outbreak, some 700 people are reportedly set to attend Tuesday’s ceremony at the White House where Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the foreign ministers of the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain will establish diplomatic relations.

Before the ceremony, Netanyahu will meet at the White House with US President Donald Trump, who brokered the diplomatic breakthrough, according to an Israeli official who briefed reporters accompanying the premier in Washington.

The UAE and Bahrain will be represented at the signing ceremony by their foreign ministers, Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, respectively. Trump will meet with each of them separately, as well, ahead of the ceremony.

Netanyahu and Trump are set to hold a bilateral meeting at the White House at 11 a.m. (6 p.m. Israel time), with a four-way meeting with the Emirati and Bahraini foreign ministers set to take place shortly afterwards.

The official ceremony will be held at 12 p.m. (7 p.m. in Israel) on the White House South Lawn, scene of the signing of the Oslo Accords with the Palestinians on September 13, 1993. It will be followed by speeches by the leaders and the playing of the countries’ national anthems. They will then hold a dinner event.

Some 700 people will be in the audience, according to Channel 12, which said that among the guests would be former US ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, billionaire Ron Lauder and former British premier Tony Blair. The station said it was unclear whether Gilad Erdan, Israel’s envoy to the UN, who is also slated to take over as ambassador in Washington, will be in attendance.

Today unexpected peace deals celebrated between #Israel & #UAE & #Bahrain. Separately, peace deal between Orthodox Christian #Serbia & Muslim-majority #Kosovo also extraordinary. Peace in #MiddleEast & #Balkans? Even detractors must honor

Historic Peace Accords
Sara Carter.Com, Sep 15, 2020, Jennie Taer

The United Arab Emirates and Bahrain signed a historic peace agreement at the White House Tuesday, agreeing to normalize relations with Israel. The historic accords were brokered by the Trump administration as part of its plan for Middle East Peace.

“We’re here this afternoon to change the course of history,” Trump said at the signing ceremony. “After decades of division conflict, we mark the dawn of a new Middle East. Thanks to the great courage of the leaders of these three countries, we take a major stride toward a future in which people of all faiths and backgrounds live together in peace and prosperity.”

The agreement, dubbed the “Abraham Accords,” means the countries will establish corresponding embassies, exchange ambassadors, welcome tourists, and engage in bilateral trade relations. Trump says it’s just the start to making peace across the entire region.

“Together, these agreements will serve as the foundation for a comprehensive peace across the entire region, something which nobody thought was possible, certainly not in this day and age, maybe in decades from now, but one founded on shared interests, mutual respect, and friendship,” Trump said.

He added, “For generations, the people of the Middle East have been held back by old conflicts, hostilities, lies, treachery, so many things held them back, actually lies that the Jews and Arabs were enemies and that Al Aqsa mosque was under attack.”

“These lies passed down from generation to generation fueled a vicious cycle of terror and violence that spread across the region and all over the world,” Trump said. “These agreements prove that the nations of the region are breaking free from the failed approaches of the past.”

“The people of the Middle East will no longer allow hatred of Israel to be fomented as an excuse for radicalism or extremism.”

The Al-Khalifas, who rule in Bahrain as well as the Al-Maktoums, who rule in the UAE,
have had extensive business dealings w/Israel for at least 60 years, particularly in Banking.
As importantly, none have been adversaries, commencing w/British Rule in the Persian Gulf.
Since all this is hardly new; what is all the present noise about?????
Directly and simply, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING OF ANY CONSEQUENCE AT ALL!!!!
Put simply, two political losers on their way out the door are being serenaded by the msm
w/creating a Treaty of the magnitude of Ghent, Utrecht and Versailles. Let hysterical laughter begin.
Any Treaty concerning lasting peace and stability in the Middle East that does not directly
involve the "Palestinians"; is a script written for the Three Stooges.

Trump destabilized the Middle East with his decision to move the embassy.  His abject ignorance of the history and religions that have shaped this moment have given succor to the agents of terror and chaos. Trump destabilizes,  Hamas terrorists provoke, Israel responds. Repeat 1.
