Here’s why Michelle Obama appeared to snub Kamala Harris in DNC speech

There was one glaring omission from Michelle Obama’s 20-minute Democratic National Convention speech Monday night — Kamala Harris.

That’s because the former first lady recorded her rousing speech before Joe Biden selected Sen. Harris of California as his running mate.

The speech was delivered remotely like all others at the DNC because of the coronavirus pandemic, and the Associated Press reports it was filmed before Harris was named last week as Biden’s VP candidate, indicating the choice was so close to the vest and down to the wire that even the Obamas were not in the loop.

In her speech, Michelle Obama eloquently praised Biden and emotionally denounced President Trump’s policies.

OMG folks!!! I did sorta watch the first hour (had to hit the mute button now and again), then went to bed to read a book. It was truly painful. The DNC videos looked like high school mid-term media projects; so bad.    The hour I tried to watch was definitely geared toward their own kind and so pandering to all the "variety"!  No sensible person would think this crowd was anything but a wishy washy, "lets all be happy in a commune" types.    So just hold on to your bloomers for the next few days and the Republican Convention will be on with a more sensible and weighted approach.

Former New Jersey governor Chris Christie slammed former Ohio governor John Kasich on Monday for his endorsement of Joe Biden at the Democratic National Convention, calling him a “backstabber” and an “untruthful guy.”

A group of Republicans — which included Kasich, former New Jersey governor Christine Todd Whitman, and former Representative Susan Molinari (N.Y.) — spoke at the DNC on Monday night in support of Biden. When asked on ABC News “how big a threat” Republican endorsements would be to President Donald Trump, Christie, a Republican, said “Zero. Zero. They’re absolutely meaningless,” before zeroing in on Kasich, who was one of his opponents in the 2016 Republican presidential primary.

“Just to show you where John Kasich’s standing is in the Republican Party: When he was the only Republican governor left on the stage in 2016 — Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, and John Kasich, [were] the three candidates left — do you know how many Republicans governors, of his colleagues, his sitting colleagues, endorsed John Kasich? Zero,” Christie said.

“And the reason they didn’t endorse him is because he’s a backstabber, and he’s an untruthful guy. And so, tonight, Republicans are going to look at that and go, ‘you can have him. Please, believe me, give us a break, get him out of our party, you take him for a little while, because on top of that, I’ve worked with John a lot. He’s exhausting.” ...

That is one of the best lines of the night.  It makes one wonder what Trump will do if he loses and has to change his address.  He is in the news everyday and was when he wasn't president.  He will have to do something to stay in the news.  Suing people was one of his devices to stay in the news.  Surely, he will stay on twitter to say nasty things about the new president.  He may also win, and have his daily newspaper/twitter keeping him in the news.
