@sneakypete I have the feeling that watching these talking heads upsets you. If so, do as I do and turn them off. I don't watch any of them because they all blow hot air and smoke. On a warn day like today especially, I don't need that.
As for Lewis, I suppose this is a continuation of his never-ending funeral. I remember a line from a Dear Abby column where she said it's funny how death improve a person. Most of the people making Lewis out to be some kind of god either didn't know him or didn't like him in life. Now he's a saint or a god. And I suppose every talking head has to get on board with the deification, lest he or she be "canceled."
As for whether suburban voters will vote for Trump -- well, that's unknown. However, I would like to see the Trump campaign do more to make him appealing to all voters. I understand the new guy in charge of his campaign is working on a "reset" or something. I sure hope so because about all I'm seeing in my neck of the woods are commercials hammering the "defund the police" movement which Biden allegedly is in favor of. But what about the rest? The Trump campaign ads here are weak. The pro-Biden ads here are far more effective, especially those from the Lincoln Project. If Trump, his supporters and allies are serious about getting him re-elected, they had better get a move on with the campaign ads. They are falling behind.
As to Biden's VP pick (actually, the party's pick, not his) -- every day it's another prospect. C'mon guys, pick someone already. The more they wait, the more the talking heads speculate and the more silly the reasons for picking this or that candidate are.
Now, Pete, go get a cold one and chill.
