Tucker Carlson accuses New York Times of endangering his family with forthcoming story

Fox News host Tucker Carlson said the New York Times will put his family in danger by publishing his address in a forthcoming story.

Carlson said during his Monday show that the decision to include his address is politically motivated and claimed the New York Times "hates [his] politics."

"They hate my politics," he said. "They want this show off the air. If one of my children gets hurt because of a story they wrote, they won't consider it collateral damage. They know it's the whole point of the exercise to inflict pain on our family, to terrorize us, to control what we say. That's the kind of people they are."

Carlson said he became aware that the New York Times was working on a story about where he and his family live. He said there was "no conceivable justification" for the story and that it doesn't detail any wrongdoing or a scandalous tiff with a neighbor.

"So why is the New York Times doing a story on the location of my family’s house? Well, you know why. To hurt us, to injure my wife and kids so that I will shut up and stop disagreeing with them. They believe in force. We've learned that," he said.

Carlson noted that his home was previously targeted by antifa protesters after a left-wing blog posted his home address. He said he and his family received threatening letters for more than a year after his address was posted. The Carlson family ended up selling the home and moving to escape the persistent threats.

The Fox News host said he called the editors from the New York Times and asked them not to publish the story, which is set to go to print this week. He said the editors "didn't care" about his concern. Carlson questioned how the reporters, photographers, and editors at the New York Times would respond if he aired their addresses on his show.
