Who Do They Think They Are? Knox County, Tenn., Bans Communion, Hymnals—and Even Bibles—at Church

It’s even worse in Knox County, Tenn., where the health department just announced that while churches may reopen on May 1, the Lord’s Supper is forbidden.

The order was announced by Knox County Health Department Regional Hospital Coordinator Charity Menefee, who announced that Communion is not part of “core worship.”

1. Who in Hades Charity Menefee that she can decided that Communion is not part of “core worship.” Does she not know that a Catholic mass by definition includes communion (the eucharist)? Does she not know that communion is obligatorily celebrated in every service in a Campbellite church?

2. Is Charity Menefee so ignorant of Christian churches that she does not know it is easily possible to prepare and serve communion without human hands touching the elements until the communicant receives them?

Some legal beagle group should film a demonstration of that latter fact and use it in a lawsuit to put this ignorant tyrant-wannabe in her place.

If restaurants can serve takeout without concern about it being foodborne, churches can serve communion.
