A lot of vids and photos of this situation. This is vid just HB and NB in the OC, but the situation covers beaches all up and down the coast.
A few days ago, Ventura County north of LA opened some, and folks from LA rushed there.
It is the start of "summer," still overcast on "grey May" mornings but sunny later. It is just about the nices weather of the year.
The municipal lots are closed, so people are paring ion nearby residential streets, a bit to the dismay of the locals.
The OC consists of 43 miles of coast, consisting of several cities (San Clemente to Seal Beach), vaarious beaches under state, county or city jurisdictions (mine has all three). Combining Huntington and Newport Beaces one can bike, run, walk, on paved trails for over 15 miles one way, 30 rt. That route is intersected by the Santa Ana river train, and the San Gabriel River trail. Four Freeways pass nearby (405,5,55,605) Combining with a few miles into LA county, OC has pleasure boat harbor access at Dana Point, Newport Beach, Huntington Harbour, and Long Beach.
Clean safe beaches, cool/cold Alaska current ocean. Major airports at John Wayne, Long Beach and nearby LAX, Ontario.
Visitor attraction Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm.
Without Covid19, a weekday at an OC beach is one of America's nicest ways to spend a day-week-lifetime.
Even with Covid19, it is hard to keep people away.
