I do realize earlier this year, the Democrats were basically trying to stage a coup via impeachment, they were trying to overturn the results of a free election. I take this into account too.

24 hours after Navarro's Jan 29th memo the President began setting up the CV taskforce.

48 hours after the Jan 29th memo the President closed our borders to travel from China --- against the advice of many in the WH.

The administration always does @mystery-ak   Always.  I'm sure we'll hear about this from the "reporters" and then from POTUS this afternoon during today's briefing.

Tomorrow some reporter will ask about this, and President Trump will become unhinged and blast them for such a nasty question, then he'll ask the reporter why they're not asking about what a great job the President did banning China early on.

And?  What is it they will ask about?  It's the attitude.  They are trying to make Trump look bad when it isn't merited.  He has to delicately balance the pandemic shutdowns to save lives while keeping the economy as steady as possible.  While long term impossible, hopefully his moves will keep us afloat. He has done everything possible to make this a short term pandemic.  The numbers are guestimates.  No one knows. 





Why is that? They would love to destroy our economy so they can regain power.  More dead people, more less Trump.  Tank the economy, more less Trump.  Their moves are blatantly obvious.

You're right @truth_seeker .  My President reiterates those priorities every day for 2 hours on live television to inform the American people in front of a hostile press.  They are the priorities I look for in a leader.  I can't say that about all 180+ countries infected with COVID-19

This is a really nonsensical post.  I've never said the President is infallible.  He's clearly not.

From a practical standpoint, the Axios Navarro report better be false.  This is a political suicide note to the Trump administrative if there is validity.  Not mobilizing contingency plans to address this ?........   I choose to think the Trump administration is/was smarter than that, and at least at this point give him the benefit of the doubt.

Top White House trade adviser Peter Navarro warned in stark terms about how deadly and economically devastating the coronavirus outbreak could be, weeks before it became a full-blown pandemic.

Navarro delivered the warnings to others at the White House in internal memos in January and February, saying that the United States could see up to 2 million deaths and trillions of dollars in economic damage.

The first Navarro memo was dated Jan. 29 and was addressed to the White House National Security Council, according to The New York Times, which first reported on the document. In it, Navarro made his case for an “immediate travel ban on China.”

In that memo, Navarro also reportedly warned that “the lack of immune protection or an existing cure or vaccine would leave Americans defenseless in the case of a full-blown coronavirus outbreak on U.S. soil.”

“This lack of protection elevates the risk of the coronavirus evolving into a full-blown pandemic, imperiling the lives of millions of Americans,” Navarro wrote in the memo, according to the Times.

Navarro’s first memo came as the president was downplaying the prospect of the virus coming to the U.S., while, at the same time, just days later on Jan. 31 restricting travel from China, after it was reported that COVID-19 was first discovered in China in December 2019 in Wuhan, Hubei province.
