I'm unaffected, because the acts I'd pay to see are all dead.

Day 241 of the 15 days we need to flatten the curve.  Is anyone ready yet to accept our new Wuhan Flu Overlords?

I remember when I was hopeful that the shutdown would end in time for us to have our regular Easter Sunday service at church.  :crying:

Using third-party software that doesn't exist yet? Good luck with that.

The surest way to discourage vaccine uptake is to track everyone who gets one.

China would like nothing more than shutting down our economy again.

I don't think people in red states will comply.

Californians and New Yorkers seem quite pliant, though. Like a battered wife, too afraid to set off the old man. So we quietly go without plastic grocery bags and showers, and tell grandma Gov. Newsom said there’s no room for her at the Thanksgiving table...sorry.

And services for everything. Reliance on others to do for you. Inherently, that breeds an 'it takes a village' mentality. Folks on the land may not always do for themselves, but they always know how to. That leads to a sort of individualism as a matter of course.

And when those of us in flyover country have finally had enough, what is going to happen to those piled on top of each other in those places?

And BTW: WTF is a ticketmaster?

"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

I have heard of them, one of those places that sells tickets to events. Never saw one, though, and never used one.
