Varon, who has also been consulting with colleagues in China, Italy and Spain, employs a treatment of steroids, blood thinners, Vitamin C and hydroxychloroquine, one of the drugs touted by President Trump.

Steroids (anti inflammatory) to ward off the cytokine storm that has been a likely contributing factor to mortality. Blood thinners to prevent clotting, vitamin C and hydroxychloroquine as antivirals and an ionophore. His patients still have to work through the disease, but are surviving better without dependence on the ventilators, which seem to lower survival rates (although the patients are in bad shape when they are put on the ventilator to begin with).

Many hospitals place patients on their backs and generally keep them there. When I had pneumonia, I changed my posture as much as possible to help my lungs drain to make it easier to clear the mucous out.
Staying in one position would not have helped clear them out.

It will take a thorough and well conducted study to sift through the complicating factors when it comes to ventilator use. Did the patients die
.... because of underlying conditions?
.....Cytokine response?
....because the disease was so advanced that by the time they went on the ventilator they were already in serious trouble?
Did the ventilators exacerbate some condition that led to a bad outcome?
Did they cause damage?

Or would the patients simply have died anyway and the vents saved who they did instead?

People from every State in the country, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Canada, and a bunch of other countries came here during the Oil Boom to make a living. Most to support their families, and many moved them here. There is remendous diversity now in an area that previously had people whose ancestors were Norwegians, Germans, a scattering of French, Irish, and English, and a handful of tribes of indigenous people. The hate game won't play here. Too many of us have worked together, and we realize that despite some minor differences in how to get there, we mostly want the same basic things.
