Caught the very end of "Red Headed Stranger" (hubby was watching it) -- Willie Nelson-- "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain", one of my favorite Willie tunes.

Just finished UPLOAD on Prime seasons 1 + 2. It was good fun, however it stops in a weird place unfinished. Season 3 has not been formally approved yet, but rumors are that people are already working on it. Again, I was disappointed where it stops because it leaves a dozen plot threads dangling.

The gap between season 1 to 2 was two freakin years. If I have to wait until 2024 to see how this thing ends, I'm sure I will have forgotten all about it by then.

Good movie.  Willie can act.

This weekend I'll watch the last installment of the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy.
I couldn't find the theatrical release (in a good copy), so I'll have to settle for the "extended" version.
Four hours and twenty minutes.
I'll split it up over Fri/Sat/Sun ...

We’ve started watching “Clarkson’s Farm” on Amazon. It’s a British comedy/real-life show that’s quite humorous. Maybe because we live in farm country, it resonates with us.

We finished watching it last night as well. My wife had a hard time following it in parts because of the way it kept jumping around, but we both enjoyed it.
A good Netflix movie was St. Vincent. Kind of a tear jerker, even though it has Bill Murray.

I binge watched all 10 episodes of “The Last Dance” on Netflix. It’s a documentary about Michael Jordan. I’m not a huge sports fan, but found this very interesting.

I didn't watch BB the first time around because I didn't feel like a drug dealer show would appeal to me. Watching the reruns now.

It is a very good well put together show. I'm only half way thru season two.

Myself, I can see this happening. And if I were to do so, I would have the same nightmare. :terror:

Death on the Nile (1978 original version), though I have downloaded the newer version (seems sexier but I doubt I will like it as well as the original).

Nostalgia Alert!!!!!

Apollo 10 1/2, though semi-animated nails what life was like around the first moon landing, especially if you lived around Houston or SE Texas at the time in 1968 and 1969.

And for good reason.   It is by Richard Linklater, the creator Dazed and Confused, which was the most spot on movie ever made about high school life in the mid 1970's. His attention to detail is outstanding.   Loved re-living that time of my life.

On Netflix.....

Sorta liking this ....Hotel Portofino ... at the 3rd in the series... Not liking the father is portrayed as a lazy drinking scumbag. Like all British dramas, the communist are favored over the Fascist.

Also enjoyed somewhat a new film (not released yet) called "The Tailor"... it was about a cutter that has a hidden past that reveals itself in his shrewd behavior during a mob incidence.

Have been drawn to the Israeli actor, Lior Raz.

He stars as 'Doron Kavillio' in a 4 season series called FAUDA.  He also fills the screen in HIT & RUN.  Both are currently on Netflix.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4565380/

"Fauda" (Arabic for 'Chaos') depicts the two-sided story of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Doron, a commander of undercover Israeli unit, the Israeli Special Forces, operating inside Palestinian territories, and his team, are hunting down Hamas terrorist Abu-Ahmed.

On the other side of the fence, the life of Abu-Ahmed and his family, who has thus far murdered 143 Israelis, will never accept the State of Israel, and will continue Jihad for as long as it takes.

I expected the movie to be more comedic, it was funny, but I got misty eyed more than a half dozen times. Just now on the last episode. One I will rewatch and save to disk.

Bonus hint.... Season 2 was 6 episodes long.... but you can find the Christmas Special on YouTube for free here....

I am now binge-watching all the Law and Order series. Most had already been airing for a year or more before I discovered them,so what I am doing now with each series is starting with Season 1,Episode 1,and working my way forward until I start seeing episodes I have seen before,and then switching to another one.

Some seriously good entertainment here is you like crime series.

Re-watching entire first 5 seasons of Better Call Saul, in prep of the 1st half of the final season (April 18 debut).

AMC teamed up with CNBC to do an excellent "American Greed" rendition of the series thus far.  (Semi-spoiler alert)

Sadly the current season is starting off very woke

@verga

Sorry to hear that. If it keeps up,it will be the death of the series.

Am enjoying the hell out of SECRET CITY, starring Anna Torv (Mindhunters).

It is set in Australia and the filming is spectacular...the dialogue crisp...the plot has as many turns as Watkins Glen.

The geopolitical tones right now are also present in this script which also makes it compelling.

And Anna Torv is magnificent as usual.  Give it a whirl!!

WARNING:  It does have the Netflix obligatory transsexual character, but it somehow doesn't come across as "gratuitous", IMO.

Has anyone binged or watched “Manifest” on Netflix?

Or “Russian Doll”?

I did watch "Manifest", about a plane that lands decades after it took off on a 'normal' 2 hour flight.

It did hold my interest but IIRC, it suddenly ended as if an alarm went off and the studio was going to blow up.   :shrug:

I think any series streamed needs a warning at episide 1 explaining that all series plot lines will be unresolved due premature cancellation.  Will save a lot of viewers grief later.

Last few days I've been catching up on Bosch, the series on Prime.  Pretty good show IMHO.

@Bigun

I watched and enjoyed Harry Bosch a few years ago. NOT your typical cop show.

Netflix bought it and will be making a season 4. That’s my understanding.

@DCPatriot

EXCELLENT series,as is any western with Elliott in it.

MUCH better than that "western" soap opera titled "Yellow Stone".

That's the way Blacklist ended. It didn't really 'end' in that sense. It just suddenly stopped. And that was it.
