Started to watch the series "Clarice" that is showing on Amazon Prime and CBS.
Started out ok,even given the standard "Rogue FBI agent fighting against the Borg and winning causen she's smarter, sterner, and more honest than the "wear red and march in a straight line" Feebs.
1st class acting by all involved, and ok plot lines. Can't remember the name of the actress that plays Clarice now,but she does justice to the "Agent Starling" of Silence of the Lambs.
Also,Clarice's southern accent is just a little bit too thick to tolerate well.
The problem is she is sharing an apartment with another Feeb agent, and this one is a black female that is,of course, smarter than her, more dedicated than her, works harder than her and who DREAMS of wearing red and marching in a straight line, and because she is black,of course she has to work 10 times as hard as her rommie Clarice to get the same sort of job assignment and STILL hasn't accomplished it.
First few episodes there were just roomies who were besties because they were both wimmins and wimmins working a mans job in a mans world. No big deal,as well as reasonable.
Ok,all standard teebee stereotypes that I could have handled if the plots were there, but then in one episode Clarice tells her black female roomie "I love you." out loud. The next episode there are slightly suggestive references by Clarice's friends about her and her roomie.
Won't be watching it again because I get the feeling it will only be a few more episodes before they are swapping spit and rolling in the sheets.
This is NOT the Clarice of "The Silence of the Lambs".

I also wanted to review a movie I watched on Amazon last night, and can't remember the title and can't find it on Amazon this morning.
It is about the "bread war" in northern England in the early 1800's. Biggest industry is the textile industry, and basically there are two classes of people, the uber wealthy mill owners, and the workers.
The mill owners are either aristocracy or pals with them, and pretty much run everything to their own advantage. They pass a law making it illegal to import wheat into northern England because they also own the wheat farms and want to keep their profits jacked up high, while actually reducing the wages paid to the factory workers.
Not much real drama. The workers organize and start throwing around phrases like "give me liberty or give me death!" (gee, wonder where they got THAT one from?) and start demanding their rights as British citizens.
Nice touch of history most of us know very little about, plus being English, the scripts are first class, and so is the acting and the scenery.
If someone is aware of the title, please feel free to post it.
