At no point of the House impeachment inquiry did Schiff ever subpoena Bolton.

That was Schiff's play call to declare himself ready for trial when he clearly wasn't.

Now, he's complaining in the Senate about the many reasons why he can't prove his case.

That's on him.

Romney is now effectively working against party leaders and arguing that the proper way to test each side's contention is to hear from people directly involved.

I think it is as simple as Trump embarrassed him in 2016 by pointing out what a two faced hypocrite he is. Romney doesn't care about the Pub party or anyone else. He is the perfect example of why I won't contribute to the party, but will contribute directly to candidates.
