I don't understand why.  It's just like a bad flu virus, plus it only kills the elderly or the weakest among us.  They were pretty much in God's waiting room anyway, plus why should I have to pay to save THEM. /sarcasm

It seems like many of those who are becoming severely ill and dying are doing so from contracting pneumonia as a "side-result" of the ChinaVirus.

Will having had a "pneumonia shot" (vaccine? supposed good for 7 years) in the past offer any protection against this?

Thanks for the reply @Smokin Joe I don't care about the rights of gun owners much more than I care about the rights of illegal immigrants right now.  I am interested in how Cuomo he is going to combat a deadly pandemic.  Not looking for extra credit.  I'll just say you're welcome for the "great" parts.

I don't know. The three main identifiable risk factors are Hypertension, Diabetes, and Coronary Disease.
Age may be a factor, but the three above are more common as people get older, so that may be a red herring.
Some have postulated that the pneumonia is a form of pulmonary edema brought about by an overly intense immune response, similar to a Cytokine Storm.

Certainly, anything which might prevent an opportunistic bacterial pneumonia can't hurt, but may not provide any protection from the virus, itself.

That is a damn good question. I doubt this is the place to find a serious answer.

Increasingly I find better,  serious inforrmation on (non-political) AM radio, podcasts like Dr. Drew, Scott Adams etc.

CA ammo purchases now require a Certificate of Eligibility issued by the AG and a birth certificate. And I think you are right about the black market.

I believe the "pneumonia shot" is primarily for protection from pneumonia caused by bacteria. This is viral. Your immune system flooding your lungs with liquid trying to fight the virus is what kills you. Not a secondary infection from what I understand.

Pistol ammo is limited to the wheel guns, though. not many bolt or lever actions in .45 ACP or 9mm. That's still cash on the barrel head, 250-500 rounds at a time. If drilling picks back up there may be a Dillon in my future. I have components, too.

It is a curfew!  24 hours a day, $1,000 fine in California.  Unless you're making a pot run, that's essential.  That means you'd better have pot in the car if you ever get stopped for driving.  This is said without a hint of sarcasm.
