That is correct, and the billiard ball was exactly the analogy I was drawing.  A one ton car traveling at 35 MPH has enough moment to roll a three-ton boulder roughly 10 MPH.  The curb I described has at least half of it subterranean.  The city helped him build it.  They also added some nasty speed bumps leading to the intersection.  I always assumed the homeowner's brother was the Mayor.

We used to occasionally call them in (assuming they are 175's) on NVA truck and/or troop convoys traveling down the Ho Chi Mihn Trail.
If the sound of those things coming in doesn't scare the squat out of you,you are fearless.

They were scary as hell too,but a lot of times didn't  have enough range to reach us. Or at least that is what I was told. I really don't know squat about the big guns other than what I was told.

At any rate,you would only have to do it once to clear a street. After that,all it would take would be a rumor they were going to show up,and rioters/rebels would be beating feet to get back to mama's place so they could hide under her bed.
