Stunning testimony links Trump to abuse of power

Gordon Sondland wrote his name in history and triggered a turning point in the House impeachment inquiry with stunning testimony implicating the President in an abuse of power.
In effect, one of President Donald Trump's political appointees confirmed the core allegation of the entire scandal: that he conditioned aid and recognition for Ukraine on personal favors that could help him in his 2020 reelection campaign.
This was no "Never Trumper" bureaucrat perpetrating what some of the President's conservative backers have called a coup. He was a glad-handing businessman who paid $1 million to Trump's inaugural committee and ended up with a plum job.
Sondland destroyed once and for all the earliest presidential talking point that there was no quid pro quo with Ukraine. He explicitly said the prospect of a White House visit for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was conditional on Ukraine announcing an investigation against Trump's possible 2020 rival Joe Biden..............

Sondland's testimony did no such thing.

CNN:  Evidence suggests that while Trump told Sondland that he didn't want a quid pro quo, such a statement is not the same as not demanding one.

Seriously?  This is the best that CNN can come up with?  Sonland's testimont didn't prove that Trump didn't do something, therefore he is guilty and should be removed from office?

If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-

Posted to reflect the 'opinion' that is being instilled in the minds of the American public.

Exactly.

If there was any abuse of power it was the shitshow proceedings.

Of course not.   A President is entitled to set his foreign policy agenda, no matter that the career bureaucrats would prefer otherwise.    Trump didn't trust Ukraine, and for good reason - it conspired to deny him the Presidency.   Given that reality - the Republicans were specifically denied the right to call witnesses that could establish that - there is nothing unreasonable about asking for tangible signs that the new Ukrainian leadership was going to address that country's cesspool of corruption, beginning with the corruption that affected the 2016 election.

The missing information in the Dems' kangaroo-court narrative is exculpatory evidence that Trump's hostility to Ukraine was based on legitimate concerns.  Meanwhile, the Dems seek not to remove him but to dirty his reputation in an obviously one-sided proceeding lauded by a fawning media.   At this point,  I think the Senate needs to conduct a serious trial that permits the President to defend himself.

“So, you really have no testimony that ties President Trump to a scheme to withhold aid from Ukraine in exchange for these investigations?” Turner asked Sondland at one point during his questioning.

Sondland replied: “Other than my own presumption.”

“Which is nothing,” Turner responded.

CNN is not a news organization.

Of course not and neither is CBS, NBC, MSN, etc., etc., but they are all reporting like 'opinions'.

Four years of Trump have fatigued the MSM's creative capacity for split-hair-splitting and making shit up.
If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.

CNN is not a news organization.

They are a branch of the Deep State "Ministry of Propaganda".  Goebbels could have learned a lot from these guys.
