@libertybele

That was playing yesterday on my  car radio. Sounded perfect the first time I ever heard it,and has sounded perfect every  time since.

SEEMS like a read a news story about it just a couple of days ago that reported when that album first came out,"Never Been to  Spain" was just a "filler on the back side of the album  because the record company didn't think  much of  it.

Then it went to number 1 in England, and number 3 in the US,and remained there for a record amount of time.

BTW,that little girl needs to come out of her shell a little.

Ya @sneakypete she's a handful ... but IMO as she gets older she's going to need to truly learn an instrument instead of acting cute if she wants to continue to play with them otherwise she'll become a distraction rather than an asset. She can't carry a tune, not really learning an instrument, and she can dance in a cutsie way, but her brother Beckett was pretty well situated on the drums at her age (and he can carry a tune) and Cash her oldest brother can play drums and keyboard but decided he was more suited for the guitar at her age -- both  brothers are pretty darn musically inclined and their instruments have become an extension of them already at their young age. Her Dad did a whole segment dedicated to her playing different instruments each week and she just obviously wasn't into it and was more into being funny.  So ..... the Dad is having a blast with his kids and her brothers' talents just keep growing...I still tune in and find them quite amazing. Bellamy ... well... hopefully she'll find her niche.

@libertybele

What you say  about her acting childish is true, but then again, she  IS a child. Her brothers are all more mature than she is because  they are older.

Plus, the fact that she is the only girl adds to the chances that she is "daddy's little girl" and he loves spoiling her and maybe even hates the idea of her growing up.

I can't criticize him for that because I would probably  be worse than he is.

IIRC Glen Campbell wrote music for them.  Perhaps played along with them?  Not quite sure.

@libertybele

Glen wrote a little music, but that wasn't his forte. He was a surprisingly accomplished guitarist, but people mostly knew him for his singing. If you look at the comments on his YouTube videos, you'll find that a large percentage of people are surprised and amazed by his guitar skills. Even fewer people knew he was part of the Wrecking Crew. A lot was discovered after his passing.

@AllThatJazzZ I watched a documentary on his life after he passed and that is how I learned of his so many talents including his involvement with the Wrecking Crew. Yes, I was astonished by his guitar skills.

Me too. I was completely ignorant of the massive amount of talent he had. And that he did all that without reading music. I wish I'd been one of those who was paying attention. My friend went to see him in concert about 3 times over the years. She said he was one of the best entertainers she'd seen, and she was a regular concert goer. I was really jealous once she told me, but the truth is, I would have turned her down if she'd invited me to go with her.  **nononono* If it were possible, I'd be kicking my own butt right now.  9999hair out0000 I'm thankful there are a lot of videos on YT.

I Can Only Imagine - Mercy Me

www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNDEyxEMNp0

Lyrics:

I can only imagine
What it will be like
When I walk by Your side
I can only imagine
What my eyes would see
When Your face is before me
I can only imagine
Yeah
Surrounded by Your glory
What will my heart feel?
Will I dance for You Jesus
Or in awe of You be still?
Will I stand in Your presence
Or to my knees, will I fall?
Will I sing hallelujah?
Will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine
I can only imagine
I can only imagine
When that day comes
And I find myself
Standing in the Son
I can only imagine
When all I will do
Is forever, forever worship You
I can only imagine, yeah
I can only imagine
Surrounded by Your glory
What will my heart feel?
Will I dance for you Jesus
Or in awe of You be still?
Will I stand in your presence
Or to my knees will I fall?
Will I sing hallelujah?
Will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine, yeah
I can only imagine
Surrounded by Your glory
What will my heart feel?
Will I dance for you Jesus
Or in awe of You be still?
Will I stand in your presence
Or to my knees, will I fall?
Will I sing hallelujah?
Will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine, yeah
I can only imagine
I can only imagine, yeah-yeah
I can only imagine
I can only imagine
I can only imagine
I can only imagine
When all I will do
Is forever, forever worship You
I can only imagine

Dedicated to When Robin Leaves for the coast in the morning.
I certainly don't wonder if she will lay in that Hotel bed and doesn't think sweet thoughts about me, as I will of Her, 200 miles away.

I heard this song before I went to bed last night. Brought back a lot of happy and weird adolescent memories, I think the last time I heard it, it was last century.

Thought of our get together tomorrow and it brought a broad smile across my face.

I dedicate this song to you @Texas Robin . Spend the morning drinking and smoking and going to see Drew Kennedy in a private venue early afternoon.
