One line drive out to retire the side after two punchouts and a walk and Gerrit Cole is through his half of the first.

No score and the Astros coming up to hit . . .

The Astros came up swinging and spraying line drives all over the place . . . four straight hits to open, a little more to come, and it's 4-0, Astros after one full inning . . .

The Rays go to the bullpen with two out in the bottom of the third, Blake Snell wrestles Yordan Alvarez to an inning-ending fly out to left.

Nobody outside of Florida wants to see the Tampa Bay Rays reach the World Series. 

Certainly not MLB or the Networks.  Not even baseball purists want to see them.   (Perhaps the NLCS winner   :bolt:       )

Luckily all paths to the World Series go thru Yankeetown.

All I meant was that getting thru New York proves you definitely belong there.  Right now, I still smell fluke.    Yeah...I realize 96 wins, but look at the AL East.

A Yankee-Astros ALCS would still be an intriguing view. St. Elsewhere vs. E.R. the way those two teams survived the injured lists this year.
