Not knowing something about something doesn't make you a dumbass.   It's what you do about the realization that you don't know about something that matters. 

Most of us here either research and find out or, depending upon the criticality of the issue, discard the issue for possible later, future research.  (at least, that's what I do...lol).

Actually, on a more serious note, I've noticed that over the past few years, I seem to have developed a case of "Google-itis" (or AnySearchEngine-itis).

Meaning, that as I encounter a strange name or term like "Edith Keeler," while there is some level of curiosity left in me that prods me to Google it, another part of me just yawns and says "why bother?"

But in the case of a thread like this, it seems now that I rather just ask the question, and see what the thread starter has to say....  almost always a more interesting answer to me....
