I'ma just leave this here...

Quote
Jerry Jones’ Cowboys frustrations boil over in curse-filled radio call

The losing appears to be taking its toll on Jerry Jones.

The Cowboys owner had an animated radio interview on Friday, even cursing a few times as his team’s struggles were broached.

“Get your damn act together yourself. OK?” he told the hosts of 105.3 FM in Dallas when asked during his weekly spot if he was embarrassed. “Settle down just a little bit. … I don’t like your attitude to come in. I’ve been traveling all night and don’t have the patience to [do this] with you today.”

Halftime against Wisconsin and OSU looks very over-rated so far.

I think the fix was in - the refs got the message in the second half...

Sure seemed like it when the obvious offensive movement was not called on that OSU touchdown.

That and some tacky pass interference calls. Fields' lack of mobility made it a close matchup. It put the pressure on Dobbins and he had a game that should keep him in Heisman contention. I agree with the announcers that WI would be a better representative of the Big 10 in the Rose Bowl than PSU.

OSU looked shaky all day but finishing the season with 3 consecutive wins over top 10 teams is impressive.

With all the money on the line for the college playoff, someone from the Big Ten must have put the word out that Ohio State had to win the game.  A Wisconsin win would have jeopardized millions of dollars from falling into Big Ten coffers.  At the end of the game, Wisconsin was moving the ball effectively through the air.  Yet on their next to last drive, they ran the ball on third and then fourth down.  And on the last play, they again ran the ball, allowing the clock to run out.

There was simply too much on the line here to risk the Big Ten from being excluded from this NCAA cash cow for a third consecutive year.

I think OSU will not make it past Clemson who has looked more impressive, albeit against inferior foes.

I doubt if 3 weeks is enough to get Fields back to full mobility. If not OSU will be at a big disadvantage.

Happy to see WI get the Rose Bowl bid - they shouldn't have much trouble with OR. I think the Big 10 has 7 or 8 teams in bowls - not bad...

Sorry to see Dobbins left off Heisman list. He played very little in the second half of most games but in the last 3 against top 10 opponents he carried the load. I think Fields' lack of 2nd half playing time will cost him a shot at the trophy too. OTOH I was surprised Young was a finalist after his 2-game suspension.

Some serious sour grapes on this thread!

(The only bad half OSU played all year was the first half of the Wisconsin game. They just got their act together and played like they’ve been playing all year in the second half and Wisconsin wore out. No bad reffing or ‘fix’ caused the win. Just hard nosed football).

Go Buckeyes! Beat Clemson!

No sour grapes on my part - it's just interesting to speculate on what stats players like Fields and Dobbins might have racked up if they'd had to play entire games. But from a team standpoint you don't want to unnecessarily risk injury, and you want to give their backups as much playing time as possible. I give them a lot more credit than Bosa, who I think could have returned last year but chose to protect his draft potential over the team. Dobbins in particular, despite limited playing time, surpassed some major NFL stars. And Fields' 40-1 touchdown-to-interception ratio - how is that even possible?

So what do you call this play on a touchdown that clearly was movement by the offense?
Good refereeing?

Hey, you have your undefeated season and your spot in the CFP. If the Buckeyes are as good as they say they are, prove it. You're ranked above the defending champions, so here's your chance.

Clemson hasn’t faced anyone as tough as the Buckeyes.

We’ll find out if THEY are up to it.

One missed call doesn’t equate with bad reffing.

Sour grapes.

The Buckeyes were the far better team and they won.

Period.

Check out the final score.

The one missed call didn’t affect the outcome of the game.

The complaint is a non starter. The Buckeyes won the game. The refs didn’t do it for them.

btw, the general feeling is that the OSU- Clemson game will be close. I think that we will win it because that’s what this year’s Buckeyes do.  They win.

What I pointed out was that you called it good refereeing when a clear violation occurred during a touchdown play that was desperately needed by OSU to change momentum.

Did this influence the game?  Most certainly.

Would OSU likely to have won anyway?  Perhaps.

Do I agree with all the negative comments that appeared in that posted tweet of the play?  No I do not.

Did I make a complaint?  No, just a bad unfortunate non-call by the officials.

You really need to lighten up on the accusations.

I call it the way it is, and if one overlooks when the rules are broken, then what will the game become?

And BTW, I think OSU will beat Clemson and face LSU for the whole ball of wax.

And I didn’t accuse anyone of anything, so I don’t need to “lighten up.”

The team I’ve supported since birth is arguably the best team in college football and that makes me very happy. They’ve won two national championships in this century and if they play their best, may well win a third.

I’m excited about that possibility.

Oh..... and JK Dobbins was 6th in the Heisman voting, so if you count Joe Burrows who was a second string Buckeye, that’s 4 out of the top 6 who are from Ohio State.

I think that’s pretty cool!  :0001:

Wrong on both counts.

If you do not believe the noncall was bad reffing, then you disagree even with what the fans of the Buckeyes say.

Wisconsin fans almost dropped their cheese when officials somehow missed — or ignored, conspiracy theorists? — Garrett Wilson’s blatant false start on OSU’s go-ahead touchdown pass. How do you miss that?

But you can go ahead and blindly support your team no matter what.  That is your prerogative.

I have no idea what you’re prattling on about.

You clearly haven’t read (or at least understood) a word I’ve said and want to argue with me about what I didn’t say.

More power to you.

If you want to clear up your confusion, go back and read the actual words I said and lose the attitude.

If not keep arguing with yourself, cause I’m through with this nonsense.

In either case, have a Merry Christmas.

More power to you.

If you want to clear up your confusion, go back and read the actual words I said and lose the attitude.

If not keep arguing with yourself, cause I’m through with this nonsense.

In either case, have a Merry Christmas.
No bad reffing or ‘fix’ caused the win. Just hard nosed football).

Never understood what you are talking about.  I complimented the Buckeyes and predict they will make it to Championship.

I did point out they got there in part due to an overlooked penalty by the officials.

Why you do not agree that the noncall did in fact help them and indeed state unequivocally there was no bad reffing is a mystery.  Even Buckeye nation threads agree it was flagrant and should have been called, especially during a touchdown play.

I'll chalk it up to an over exuberance fan who cannot believe it could have happened.  Some are indeed blind to the truth.

Tigers vs. Tiguzz in the championship.

It was great to see my high school classmate Kirk Ferentz and his Hawkeyes beat USC last night. Looking forward to the playoff games now.

After watching today, I can only conclude that Ohio State, unquestionably inferior to the two tigers,  is the third best team in the US.

Kudos to them as I honestly believe they could beat Oklahoma.

They just can't seem to get by Clemson, which they are now 0-4 against.  Worst of any team.

Yesterday's games were very entertaining! One blowout, one close one, two incredible QBs.

SO proud of the Buckeyes!

An equal team to Clemson, but too many mistakes at critical times.

GREAT season........ and I think next year's may be even better.

(I also think LSU will blow out Clemson in the National Championship, as they would have Ohio State.  They are AWESOME).

Meanwhile, in the NFL, the playoffs begin Saturday.

And I was SO hoping the Browns would be in the playoffs as predicted!!  :silly:

Nope.  The Tigers are gonna lose.

Looks like they kept the wrong coordinator.

The Browns have some potential. I think their ceiling is the wild-card (so long as the Ravens keep winning, they'll be the division favorite for a while, but the Steelers are on their way down and the Bengals are... well... the Bengals). But they have to find a decent coach!

I'm glad Kitchens is gone.  They were such an undisciplined mess this year, even with all that talent.

I can’t remember seeing a better half of offense than that ran by LSU., in their win against Oklahoma.
Maybe early Run-and -shoot teams, but not in a big game like this. Not against a high ranked opponent.
Just magnificent to watch.
