The story says larger bottles are easier to recycle. My pea brain doesn't comprehend that.  How hard is it to run either size bottle under water till it's clear? 

And the article mentions the larger bottles are tamper proof?  Great!  My arthritic hands already have trouble opening bottles, jars and lids.  Guess I'll have to bring my own shampoo and such when I travel.

These draconian save-the-planet measures are taking the pleasure out of everything.

I mentioned this story to my hairdresser today, right after I told her about an upcoming trip to Europe. She promptly gave me "free sample" packets (which probably weren't supposed to be free) of high-end shampoo and conditioner. "For your trip," she whispered.  888high58888

California's one-party legislature cannot bring itself to address the manifold public health disasters currently unfolding in their cities, but man are they ever right on top of the Tiny Shampoo Bottle Crisis.   :shrug:

I always use up the shampoo in those small bottles, so this isn't necessarily a bad thing.

I stayed this past weekend at a Marriott Courtyard in Metro Atlanta.  They had Shampoo, Body Wash and Conditioner bottles mounted on the shower tub/wall.  It was great.  Anyone complaining about this change is an asshat who would take bread/rolls, crackers, sugar or equal, jelly and jam, ashtrays, towels and Gideon bibles  from a hotel or a restaurant.

Having said that I filled up my personal shampoo bottle with that wonderful Paul Mitchell stuff they had in the shower.

Had the best shampoo and conditioner at Seneca Allegany Resort and Casino.  Can't remember the brand name now, but it was one I never heard of.  When I got home, I looked up the name, but couldn't find any retailers that sell it.  Perhaps it was only available to hotels and resorts or maybe some salons.  If I had been smart, the resort had a salon.  I should have asked for it there.

I never take anything I'm not supposed to.  But I was told years ago it was ok to take the little bottles of shampoo, conditioner, lotion and/or body wash.  But I only take the ones I've used.  The full ones I leave behind.

So call me an asshat then.

So, does this mean the little bottles in stores people need to pacify the TSA when they fly are going to get more expensive?  That's what a lot of travelers used those little bottles for.  "Eff 'em!" says Marriott.
