Clown Car Debate - Part II
Well, let it be said, Sanders was asked about raising taxes on the Middle Class, and he said 'yes, I would raise taxes on the Middle Class'.
LET'S GET REAL, EVERYONE OF THE DEMS WOULD RAISE TAXES IN AS MANY WAYS AS THEY CAN THINK OF!
The only candidate on the stage tonight that said something insightful was Mr. Wang. He indicated if we only had half the Fair Tax that Europe has, we would generate $800 billion in revenue. I am tired of the burden being on the wage earners for taxes, particularly when I know an architect in his 70s that made a six figure income most of his life and NEVER filed a tax return or pay a dime in federal income tax. I do not understand how he managed to stay off the radar, but I guess he never filed, possibly does not have a Social Security ID, etc. I know a number of folks that have a very high cash income, approaching six figures, and not a one of them claim more than $10,000 a year in income. Add in the entire criminal world, all the folks that work for cash, and this nation loses HUGE amounts of revenue, and the working/middle class carry all of them.
I am 100% in favor of a Fair Tax as our primary means of taxation, and a huge reduction of income taxes, and the elimination of the IRS as we know it today. Perhaps all income taxes should go the way of the dinosaurs.
If Trump wants to learn a lesson from former Sen Jim DeMint, just campaign on the notion of eliminating the IRS. Guaranteed election. That was the ONLY thing DeMint said that was rational when he first ran for Senator in South Carolina, and on that issue only, the folks in SC voted for him. He literally sounded like a quack on everything else he uttered.
Harris had some solid sound bites, but there is something with her that stimulates my shudder response. Plus, she literally has no personality. NONE!
Sanders sounded every bit the kook he is. His numbers have to plummet after tonight. And Biden, he played it safe, and in doing so, remains the stagnant personality he always has been. He was a weak sister that was selected by a total incompetent to be his VP. He is the king of gaffs, and I do not see him making it to Iowa.
Last but not least, I still believe HRC jumps in sometime in the Fall, and when she does, all the oxygen gets sucked out of Biden's campaign.
Finally, listening to Gillibrand talking about the efforts of those attempting to end abortion as radical disgusts me. Abortion may well end up again in the Supreme Court, but do not hold your breath for Chief Justice Roberts to vote against abortion. I am certain that POS will use the it has been law for nearly 50 years, so we will not eliminate it at this time. Go back and review your wording, or some such nonsense like he pulled this week. We do not have a conservative court at present. Not even close.
